Hi all,

I went to a small college reunion recently (the reunion was small, the college had 1k+ students) and took some group photos. Nothing incriminating or particularly freaky, apart from one guy who has an insane way of crossing his eyes so far his irises disappear utterly.....

Anyway, as the reunion went swimmingly I think it's a nice idea to upload the pics, BUT most of the group were reticent when I asked if I could take video (apart from Mr Scary Eyes). I think there would be some hesitation about being published, and none of the group have made their own photos publicly viewable.

Now, I'd like to ask them all if anyone minds the photos being uploaded and displayed within the event, open ONLY to those of us who are members. Asking for votes in-thread would be crazy, and I can't use a poll of any kind. I'm thinking of simply asking them to PM me their votes, the stipulations I'll post up being:

1) My own vote is "Yes" (not to taint opinion here you understand...:) ;

2) If just ONE person would rather the pictures are not displayed, then none of the pictures will be uploaded;

3) Everyone has to vote or no photos will be uploaded;

4) NOBODY ever, ever gets to know how anyone else voted (apart from my own vote obviously)

I hope this convinces them that I'm a good steward of their likeness, but on the other hand I don't want to be seen as overly strict.

Suggestions welcome... !!!

Except for my family or close friends I always ask each person individually if they are ok with me uploading their photos onto facebook etc.

Rather than some sort of weird poll just email or call them and ask.

Just post the damn pics, without tagging anybody (or tag them wrong, so only you can edit). Caption it that people can request tagging, or not. If somebody has a hissy fit, then you can pull it back down.

My family & friends are always posting and tagging each other - no biggy.  We just don't post pics we look horrible in, or if someone doesn't want their pic up, we take it down, if asked.

Then again our settings are such that no one outside our friends lists can view.

But...it's kind of you to be so considerate to the way everyone feels.

My sister got pissed at me once for posting a photo of her son...apparently, only SHE is allowed to do that. Now, I stick to posting photos only of my own family. If I would like to post a photo of someone else, I ask their permission first. As for group photos? Forget it. I don't want to risk the wrath of many. Personally, I would prefer that people NOT post recent photos of me...I've gained a few and would rather let my long lost Facebook buddies believe that I still fit into a size 4.
