All profiles on CM have a color coded system so that you can know a person's gender and role just by seeing the screen name under the "Who's Viewing Me" section. A name that shows up in red is a female Dominant. (Pink is female sub, dark blue is male Dom, so on and so on.) There is at least one thread a week around here about financial domination. It's really like any other kink out there. It may not be one that you are interested in, but that doesn't make it less legitimate. Nobody comes on here and says they aren't into needles (for example) so that means that anybody who is into needles must be wrong. Same premise. Also, juju is precisely right. Anybody out there who wasn't getting the hot young chicks in the vanilla world isn't going to have any better success in the kink world. Truthfully, the odds are greatly reduced.

Nor do I understand how you can accuse me of "thinking I know everything about how CM works" b/c I expressed a strong opinion on one particular subject. LadyPact... But can I suggest... if you don't like the discussion, why not just decline to take part in it? Well sugar if it makes you feel better, the site of fat people naked, rather grosses me out, even myself if I get a bit too pudgy. It sure as hell doesn't turn me on!!! I also find the sight of penises, testicles, moobs, and hairy asses, gross. But I sure as fuck don't wax poetic about it, possibly hurting the feelings of people I like/respect/or even love, in some cases. Just as I don't personally demand money for my uber cool domination. I mean I understand it would be a submission thing, but I guess I just haven't encountered it. I really didn't mean for this thread to get so out of control it was really just a curiosity thing for me because in my relationship with my Dom money isn't a factor and since I literally have none I would not ever be in a relationship where it was. I know that there must be people out there into it and I guess was just looking for more knowledge on it, but what it turned into was a bash fest, but also not too much from anyone that actually is into it. I do kind of get put off by it simply because I am trying to learn more about the community and what people are into and what there is to explore out there and I get a little frustrated when people are not willing to talk about their experiences, or when they come at me with a reply like... I only want money slaves. I only want my Dom, but that doesn't mean I am opposed to talking to other Doms. I guess that might just be how I differ than a lot of people. I basically would like to have a better understanding of the community before I jump head into going to the local BDSM club, but at the same time when everyone in your area that has a profile on here has that attitude it just makes me wonder why even bother with the local community, but then again who knows what it would be like otherwise. I know that there are people who literally need, want, crave the type of domination that comes with handing over your money and everything that comes with it, but I guess for me personally, and this is not ment to put anyone that does down, I would have to be a long and committed relationship prior to me ever getting to that point. I was expressing my frustration with this post and then also trying to learn more about something that I just don't understand, and I guess what I really ended up doing was getting the people that dislike it to chime in and not to really get any feedback from anyone that acutally participates in it. I guess I was just trying to get an idea of how many of these people are acutally legit, if they are acutally just trying to "run a business" or if it is really a common fetish for people. I know that there will always be scam artists out in the world even outside of BDSM, so I was just really wondering.

Had you been reading threads on the same subject less than a month ago, you'd have seen a post from a male sub who happens to love this particular kink and very specifically mentioned the joy of 'tribute for his princess'. I would think it wouldn't be wrong whether the Master wants it or the slave wants to give it. If it works for them, then it does. Do anything you want with my body but don't touch my money? huh? I don't mind contributing to any roof I am living under. And if I am with someone I see as a happily ever after, I'll throw it all in. Money is a necessary evil. Would I behave foolishly and give it to any one who would have me? No. But I do believe my happiness, memories and that special someone is more important than my money.

LadyPact: Thanks for explaining about the Red profiles. I was indeed the one who was confused about that. For what it's worth, my "high five" to shiver was based on his statement about demanding money up front before he'd even talk to a domme about subbing for her. I do think that, in principal, that's no different than the inverse: i.e., a domme demanding payment upfront before any kind of relationship has been formed, much less before a service has been rendered. I think what leads to threads like this, is the frustration a person feels when they first come to a site like this and start trying to connect with people, only to encounter a lot of money-grubbing opportunists who aren't interested in making a real connection. It's the same frustration I felt as a job hunter, when I'd go for what I thought was a job interview and end up getting roped into an hour and a half long presentation about some "pay us now and make money later" scheme. It may be what some people are looking for, and if so, to each his own. But the type of thing I'm complaining about, are the girls who say that they're looking for subs, not specifically money slaves, but expect you to pay them a tribute up front before even getting the privilege of talking to them. I continue to think that's a shady practice, motivated not by "kink," but by greed and expediency.

If you had said "perusing profiles," that's how I would have taken it. I tend to associate the word "perve" with, well, perversion. Keep in mind that I'm new, so if that's some sort of vernacular that's used on the forums (or by the BDSM subculture in general), I'm not familiar with it.
