This clown broke the law and got a $52 fine.  Rather than simply pay it, he tried to rally political support around his own selfish interests and cost the county a few thousand.  The jury decided against him in 20 minutes. The Tea Party is trying to distance itself from him and rightly so.

Interesting concept, that legislators break what they see as unjust laws instead of trying to change them.

Arrogant loser.

Fourteen year old kids shouldn't be driving speedboats.
Case closed.

Ya know, I think that I would be sympathetic if he had decided to take it to court as a test case.  However, from this story this guy did not do that.  He tried the King Stork of the Log Pond (or whatever that metaphor is) and then proceeded to continue to act like an ass.  Frankly he has buttered his bread and he can sleep in the fallout.

What is there be sympathetic about? Flouting a standard law that hardly anyone considers controversial or unfair in any way? Even if he'd behaved as a perfect gentleman through the process, what injustice was there to make a test case about? A standard age restriction law for driving any vehicle is about as non-partisan and societally acceptable as it gets.

Age schmage. I was driving to work with a joint on my hand before alot of people here were born. Work permit my ass. I knew how to drive a stickshift before I was ten, and a car I could handle by twelve. Guns came somewhere in there. Age restrictions imposed are by nature arbitrary.

The guy should still be voted out, if he got caught at this he is not that smart.

This does not surprise me. They’re two faced, double standard, lying, selfish, back stabbing, and hypocrites. It’s not just him. I’ve seen this behavior before frequently with right wingers. I think there will be other incidents. I remember the hypocrite who said abortions were ok and his father was a gynecologist. Everyone should see what I saw when they run against each other to get a nomination. They get their ‘knives’ out to ‘hack and slash’ and backstab.

They are such wonderful entertainment.

It might help to actually read up on it.

A couple of them are on his side, but the group wants him to resign.

How does that change my opinion that teabaggers are the greatest source of entertainment I've ever seen?

If anything, your link just reinforces that.
