I just saw this and clicked on it because i was concerned that the discussion board was going to be feeding into twitter. Can someone please explain this concept. I don't twitter so i am a little concerned that a message board/website i am on actively is now going to be twittering. The other thing i was curious about is it says this -- Welcome to the official Collarme.com Twitter page... Follow us to get the latest news, info on our parties, special contests and more! Umm what news, parties, special contests? Can someone explain how this twitter thing will work? Thanks. angel

Stef, why all the sarcasm. I didn't think asking such a simple explanation of what the site plans or something that is new would have YOUR panties in a wad that you have to spew sarcasm in response. Sounds like i hit a nerve unknowingly, but i am not sure why that would do so. Not everyone is as informed as you seem to be. And well, i i would imagine that this site would offer and announce everything they do on twitter here to the actual MEMBERS of the site. So i was curious as to what all that is about as i didn't know CM had parties or contests etc, and if they do, i am missing the announcements and i may be interested in same. Gee, take me out back and shoot me for asking questions about something new especially when it involves another site i don't plan on and never have been a part of. angel

LOL, stef is right, if you want to find out about those things, you need to join Twitter weg. As a confession, I just joined Twitter strictly to follow the site happenins, no telling what CM might put on there in the way of NEWS about the site and happenings about the site. barely, its like a blurb/blog/latest just breaking news kind of place.. I wouldn't worry if I were you.

VAA, so you are going to offer and announce things on twitter but *NOT* announce the same things on CM for members? That members of Collarme are going to HAVE to join twitter in order to know about things listed like parties or contests FOR CM. Am i understanding that correctly? I don't want to join twitter, but as a member of this site i am interested in things like contests and parties etc. I don't think this site should force members to sign up for a different site just to hear announcements about things happening on the site they are a member of. Hopefully i am misunderstanding and the announcements will be both on twitter and CM. As for the discussion board being on there -- let's just say i am completely computer illiterate and i simply thought that the site may start the RSSing or RRSing whatever its called that little box on top of the message boards on on the profile side, over on Twitter. And that made me uncomfortable as i joined this site and post on this site, i would rather not have it broadcasted on other sites. So it was a relief when it was stated that won't be happening. Which is why i asked the questions i did because i wanted to understand how it would work. And please call me angel or barelynangel. Thank you. angel

yeh I don't get the twitter thing either. If there are going to be contests, games, ect., why not put it up where we are now? That little side panel that is currently announcing following on twitter, might be used for contest links. I don't tweet. But I like contests.

There ARE people that to use the twitter site, and the site is just trying to be more rounded. Why in the world should the site penalize the very same members they are trying to offer a new service be trying to penalize them at the same time. It is a new feature, such as being able to use an iphone, noone is MAKING you use the iphone, neither will you be FORCED to join twitter, or be left out. Again,it would make no sense for the site to favor twitter users over others. I'm confused as to why it is so worriesome and confusing. Do you use all the features the site has to offer now? Are you penalized for the ones you don't use? Are there not features that you use and like, that in all probability, other users could give a shit about? A LOT of people use twitter, even though you don't.
