Status: offline 		So many weighty threads,I feel we really need to lighten things up a bit. I'll invite the populace to share some of the funnier things they have encountered with people who seemed to have the greatest of difficulty in seperating reality from fantasy.........(with the provisivion that I have been as guilty of it in the past as anyone,no you really CAN'T keep someone caged all the time.)

And please,no names or particular insult to the parties involved-I'd hate to see it go down in flames.

Status: offline 		A man came in to one of our local munches and sat down at the table. Introductions were made all around. Some lighthearted conversation. As some lifestyle things began to be discussed the new gentleman stated that he liked to make his subs stop breathing. A few odd glances were exchanged so he asked the other Dominants if they didn't also enjoy doing that. One Dominant said "Well, no...I've always liked my subs to BE breathing". Another Dominant asked him to clarify exactly how he accomplished this. He stated, "It's simple...you just type it in..."Don't Breathe". This led to more odd glances and a quick change of subject. Another twenty minutes or so of lifestyle talk went on when suddenly this gentleman stood up and said loudy, "Wait a minute...You mean to tell me that you people do this shit to each other FOR REAL? ...You people are SICK!!!". He turned and abruptly left the restaurant as we all sat there with mouths agape.

Status: offline 		This actually happened and no it wasn't funny. Myself, my daughter and a vanilla couple friends of mine, along with their 2 kids went to the Renfest that they have every year here. Alot of people come in costume, loads of kids are there. It was a hot day so we all sat down to eat an italian icy and just chitchat. Suddenly my friends 5 year old points at these two women in manicles <sp> and wrist restraints  " mommy are those bad ladies?" we all looked up to see what she was pointing at and there were two female slaves in chain ankle/wrist restraints being led by their Master thru the renfest. I knew right away what I was looking at, a public humilation scene in full view of everyone, small kids included. The young M/s couples stopped near us and the one slave said "Master, may this slave please have some water?"  He replied "Open your mouth slut" and then proceeded to SPIT into her mouth.
Everyone in my party was utterly grossed out and the children made their *eww gross* comments. My friends got up and said lets move along and go see something else. I couldn't believe they had done this in such a family oriented place. The kids had a bunch of questions including "Are those ladies crazy is that why they are all locked up like that?" Their mother, at a loss could only say  "No their boyfriends dont want them to get lost."
Fantasy is ok folks as long as you  don't force it onto nonconsensual peeps reality.

My only problem with that would be the slut word.

It's a renn faire- explaining that people are in costumes and acting out pretend scenes is not a big deal.  They see sword fights and other plays and performances all day- just act like this is another one, because it pretty much is- you could even applaud or boo the dom to make it more of a "this is fun pretend" atmosphere.

Status: offline 		I loved the one Mist shared! The funniest one that I can recall happened during a lecture Himself was giving on enema play where a couple walked in, stayed about 5 mins and went over to the coordinator asking if they were in the right room for the sign ups for a 10K charity run. The sign up table was just outside the door to our room and they had seen the signs for it, but missed the table and assumed they were just supposed to come into the room. I still wonder that it took them 5 mins to figure out they were in the wrong place considering the nozzles and bags laying around. ::chuckles::

I once met a switch. In building up to the meeting, I had expressed an interest in women's panties and being forced to wear them over my head when I write to her ---- a typical sub fantasy thing. my master became friends with a mistress who was very well known and highly regarded in the l.a. scene.

I can tell you that when it happened I think half of us were waiting for him to come back and say "Just kidding", but he never did. Actually, he walked out without even paying his bill. It is now kind of an inside joke amongst those who were there and when we run across each other at different functions and a lifestyle topic is being discussed, quite often one of us will pipe in with " Wait a minute....you mean to tell me you people do this shit to each other for real?...you people are SICK". It's always still good for grins and giggles.

I wouldn't even have a problem with that. As long as the activity is not overtly sexual I don't care what people are doing or saying, even if not at a Ren Faire styled event. What's next: gay people not being able to hold hands because that's "eww gross" too?

When the slightly unusual becomes commonplace then no one will care. It's cultural warfare - the more we accept the BS self-imposed restrictions of culture at large, the less right we have to complain for being made its outcasts.
