siouxie -> too damn ticklish (4/28/2006 9:58:26 AM)

not sure whether i should have put this in the humourous section or not!  problem is, i'm too damn ticklish, anything will have me squirming, which isn't necessarily good all of the time!  is there any way possible for me to desensitise myself to this, at least a little?

thanks!

I am in the same boat, I learned how to 'brace' myself as much as possible, it helps a bit. Just tense up the muscle(s) where you are being tickled. I have also tried to go into sub-space a few times to no avail. Persoanlly, I HATE being tickled, for some reason the moron who (tries to) tickles me always is too brutal and it hurts like hell, not to mention the marks left over.
Your body could just me sensative to touch, that's not a bad thing, it just means you have to learn to desensatize yourself, mostly by going trough te process until its not longer funny or tickles, its not easy, but that is one way.

I will keep an eye on this. Maybe this can help me be less physcially sensative myself.

that sounds like absolute hell on earth! lol - but it might be the only way.  i've tried tensing the muscles, i've trieed relaxing them, but not much luck!

it doesn't help my partner either, as she's trying her best to be a domme (bless her!) (i'm gonna get a slap if she sees this!) but the slightest touch can set me off giggling and squirming and i think it disheartens her.

Water helps change the friction so you won't be as ticklish.

Not much use when you're tied up.  Try some deep breathing exercises and go to the bathroom often.

Proprietrix -> RE: too damn ticklish (4/28/2006 11:19:33 AM)

I have a friend who is very ticklish and hates being tickled. I, on the other hand, am not ticklish at all & barely understand the concept. I'd like to tie him up sometime and tickle him mercilessly to see what happens... til he pees himself, or passes out, or ???
So far, no luck talking him into it. *sigh*

darq -> RE: too damn ticklish (4/28/2006 11:24:19 AM)

I have been tickled until I peed myself before ... It was soooooo humiliating. And not in a good way.

I actually list tickling as a limit now. I dont know why but being tickled has always felt extremely violating to me. I can't get over it ... I mean, yeah I'm giggling and stuff but at the same time I'm trying not to hyperventilate or cry or something and then I end up wetting myself ... For me, its just not a good experience.

akisha -> RE: too damn ticklish (4/28/2006 11:25:58 AM)

I fall into this category as well *sighs*   So far nothing i've tried has worked other then being so exhausted i can't even think.

Harvard Medical did a study a few years ago and they came to the conclusion that it was impossible to tickle yourself. They are wrong.

I've yet to find a non ticklish spot on myself, nor has anyone else.

bandit25 -> RE: too damn ticklish (4/28/2006 12:53:54 PM)

I've never heard of anything that will desensitize that, unfortunately.

lol, afraid so!

some people find tickling amusing, but to me (and apparently so many of you) there's not a scrap of fun in it at all.

oh, and these fools know nothing!

morganaravenwolf -> RE: too damn ticklish (6/21/2008 8:19:55 PM)

I definitely fall under this category.  The funny thing is that I don't actually mind being tickled when its like my sides but if its my feet, I absolutely hate it.  I've never really figured out why this is. But apparently it's really entertaining.

d1ll1gaf -> RE: too damn ticklish (6/21/2008 8:37:04 PM)

I am naturally very ticklish but can 'turn it off' when needed although it is then a very unpleasant sensation.. The key is that tickling is not actually a physical sensation but in fact a mental one. You cannot tickle yourself because your brain experiences no sensation surprise when you are responsible for the tickling. When another person tickles you however your brain is surprised by the feedback from the nervous system (even through you may know its coming and can see the source your brain is surprised by the exact feeling). If you can mentally prepare your brain for the sensations you won't react. I do this by simply digging down into that part of me deep down that refuses to give up or lose (I have used the same technique to walk on a blown out knee and hit the bar in the evening).

CruelDesires -> RE: too damn ticklish (6/21/2008 9:42:09 PM)

You can always de-sensitize the areas with a steel wire brush. [:D]

TickledOff -> RE: too damn ticklish (6/22/2008 7:32:11 AM)

I am super ticklish too...

When I'm in the mood for it it can be great, but I'm ticklish all the time. A good smack to the tickled part usually desenstizes it pretty well...

sirsholly -> RE: too damn ticklish (6/22/2008 7:35:59 AM)

Sir and i have an understanding...he tickles me and he loses a nut.

sambamanslilgirl -> RE: too damn ticklish (6/22/2008 8:30:55 AM)

when you know the secret, let me know.

i'm extremely ticklish in most places and it doesn't have to be a tickling fingers attacking me. a simple brush of his hand against the backs of my legs gets me squirming.

winterlight -> RE: too damn ticklish (6/22/2008 9:47:32 AM)

i am extremely ticklish all over and i absolutely hate it. I think i read somewhere if you are tickled to the point of extreme you can go into
convulsions?

I have no idea what works to stop feeling ticklish. Every time i go to the Dr. and i get examined i squirm and laugh He/She always apologizes. I tense up
and try and protect the area where i am ticklish.
