Its not just those who apparently through no fault of their own just happen to be born the way they are who seem to fit the security profiles, for anyone that is different becomes an obvious societal target. This includes anyone who chooses to be an individual, for authority does not like individuals and these people can be identified by mode of dress and even the length they choose to wear their hair.
Yeah, I get hassled everytime I go through airport security because I choose not to wear the almost regulation short back and sides or crew cut and I have been told my hair makes me obvious as a potential whatever. Dickheads I called them for I am clued in aviation security, for they do they not think if anyone was going to be a problem, they would do their best to blend into the majority so as to hide and not get caught before they get their job done. But what I got wrong was I assumed intelligence, duh, for it is known intelligence and security personel are not exactly the best partners, it is why they choose to work in security in the first place, too thick for anything else.
What is needed at such security situations, is intellects who think outside the box as perhaps it never occurred to those who are charged with security people who are going to cause a serious problem have brains that work very well for to get to the point where it is hoped security will stop them, they have invested a lot of powerful thought, terrorists aren't stupid, it is how they manage to remain incognito until they do their thing.
But perhaps that was the reason for the full body scanners, to negate the stupidity of people, especially the so called security at airports, who are more akin to thugs in uniform.
My thoughts of to where the security problem lies at airports, is what happens airside, aircraft on the ground are not guarded and servicing and replenishing goes on, but , no one would suspect groundcrew of having designs to bring a bird down. This is exasperated even more when it is employers seek to find the cheapest operative to hoover out the crap left by passengers that are pigs and treat their bought seat as their sty. Just think hooving and picking litter one moment then when no one is looking a pocketable package slipped down the crease of a seat.
