One of your fondest dreams is about to be realized. From the Wikipedia article on Leonardo DiCaprio: "He [DiCaprio] was cast in the title role in Oliver Stone's film Travis McGee, in which he is expected to play a salvage consultant who helps his clients on recover lost property," I can't imagine DiCaprio being McGee, but Travis is coming to the big screen!

He doesn't fit my mental image of what McGee looks like, that's for sure. And an Oliver Stone movie? That's weird, where's the heavy handed political commentary in Travis McGee?

Stone did a great job on Jim Morrison in The Doors. It's not ALWAYS political. And, yeah, Leo doesn't fit the McGee image for me either - I picture someone large, physically dangerous, who's obviously seen a lot of pain. A Caucasian version of Samuel L. Jackson would be perfect if they kept the time period, or Jackson himself if they updated it.

He had nothing good to say about that movie atall. It's a cool book, btw. He was interviewed on The Book Nook (a WYSO show) and is an interesting guy overall.
