Status: offline 		If you do some web searches, you may come across a site that will tell you that a woman only adopts the open legs, palms up position for a man who uses her sexually, and that she should close her legs when kneeling for others...that may be where the comment came from.

Having said that, these sorts of things are personal choice to begin with, and you shouldn't take seriously anything but your specific Master's interpretation.

Status: offline 		The way I was taught the position is  kneeling, legs open, back arched, head up, but eyes on the floor or his feet, hands resting palms up atop my thighs.  This displays my body to my master and palms facing up means that I am ready for him and available to him.  However, if kneeling to someone other than my master, legs would be closed, back would be straight and palms would be facing down.  But the best policy is to do as your master instructs, his opinion is the one that counts.

Can you help me I want to learn a new position to surpirse my master and make him yet again proud of me do you have any suggestions.

Dear glorious angel, Ladies and Gentlemen;
 
The position, with head bowed, kneeling with parted thighs and palms up on the thighs, is as IronBear described as a Nadu position.  This is in the Gor (Gorean) theme of the lifestyle.
 
It is also “English Classical Formal Position,” for Presentation. This particular position was then followed by offering breasts, genitals, mouth and anus to the Master/Mistress.
 
Really depends on which style of domination and or positions your Master is following.
 
The purpose of "Presentment Position" is as follows:
1. Demonstrates the training.
2. Reminds the slave or submissive what their status is.
3. Reminds the slave or submissive their body is for the Dominant's use, entertainment, pleasure and not theirs.
4. Allows the Dominant to keep a eye out for body change, discharge, injury, healing, any required cleaning or need to maintain or correct a flaw in that maintenance.
5. For Ceremonial purposes for presenting the collar.
 
In addition to the kneeling position, it is a springboard to many mental, physical and emotional changes, as if kneeling close to the Master, your Pheromones and Olfaction Gland comes into play, all necessary to arouse and excite the sexual nature of the submissive/slave.  By smelling the Master's genital area, these scents will go through the nasal passages over the Olfaction Gland to which strikes upon the memory/mind to which triggers recognition the Pheromones then get excited, you get sexually excited, etc.
 
However, if you are out of the Master's private space, which is approximately 3 feet and or the distance away from his outstretched arm and fully extended hand, your ability to be so close to the Master's Pheromones will be absent.
 
Additionally, your senses will be more tuned by "hearing" the Master, rather than using the sense of sight.  This adds to the focus, to "hearing" his body, movement and surrounding "sense of being."  This is due to the eyes being lowered, forcing other senses to step up to the plate per se.
 
So, as you can see--I am a fan of positions.

Yes, I agree with most posters, always use the positions that your Master instructs you to assume, because he is the one that matters. This is the same case with my slaves and servants. They have to do exactly what I say, even in positions. In fact, they would know better than to listen to some stranger about how to present themselves while they are mine.

I still have to do a bit of work on the site -- but this will give a few basic ideas about it.

And as for your Master being proud of you, that is ALWAYS a good thing, and such things always warm my heart as well.

Status: offline 		it warms girls heart to hear a fellow slaves Master is proud of them....as the other posts have said it is your Master who matters most and you are doing well in pleasing Him by doing as He asks and that should be all the praise you need.

however that being said as was suggested above let your Master pick the position He wishes you to learn and take it from there.

Status: offline 		I have been looking at some of the gor positions and I have learnt a few

There is another one  When i see my master I go in the welcoming position and then I kiss his feet I dont get up until I am told to.

We have some very good rules to  I am only allowed to kiss him on the lips all the rest on the cheek.  If i do anything wrong I know that I am going to be punished.

I would take it as a compliment if my submissive would present herself in this way to me. i would take it as her being proud of her current state of being and wishing for me to see if anything needs to be corrected. Now i do not, personally, care for eye contact restrictions, but i can understand the reasons for it. Also if memory serves me in the correct way, i believe that this position is called "nadu" in the gorean realm.
I do agree with amayos, that it is not some club person to tell you what is right for you and your master to do. it is your master's choice as well as yours in being submissive to him

Status: offline 		IMO the only way the person would see it as being disrespectful is if he didn't want you doing anything with him that your Master has you do, which, if it WAS ment that way, should set off all kinds of red flags about this guys true intentions and possible lack of respect shown to your collar.

If a new girl, or anothers girl, presents her self to me, she is showing respect and submission, it really matters little as to the specifics of the possition but rather the intent behind it. If I have a preffrence for another position OR I find something un-asthetic about the position she has been taught, it is not dis-respect but rather lack of information, easily sorted by showing her my preffrences (Like another mentioned earlier, I preffer her to have her face raised and to seek eye contact. In that position I also preffer the hands held behind the back (left in right))

Of course this only applies where she is trying to do something pleasing for me, if however she has been instructed by her master to adopt a specific position when addressing another Dom, then my preffrences don't even come into it as she is following her masters orders.

When I was learning the Gorean positions, in nadu the girls head is up, but her eyes downward.   Did I learn wrong or are there variances?

Back to the topic......

The position is what your Master wants so who cares what others think about it.   Good for you for doing as HE commands and not the collection of Masters at some party.
