That isn't helpful, Popeye. President Obama's record and policies are easy enough targets anyway. I am curious how somebody will try to spin it as racist, though.

But then, given the level of discourse from the haters, I can certainly understand, Popeye.

Let's see. We don't recognize it as a legitimate state, we have massive sanctions against it, and have for 5 decades---I think we've been telling them to FO for quite some time now. They have incredible problems, and short of the occasional bit of food, we exactly leave them to sort out their own problems.

They started the war, and haven't signed a peace treaty, Muse. Sucks to be them. Seriously, really, for the people there, it flat sucks to be them. Their dictatorship has decreed the military comes first, and they are starving slaves to that cause. Is it a country even, or just an enormous concentration camp with a flag?

I sorta like the idea that we shoot down the next test missile they fire, or maybe provide a deniable example of how sneaky our submarines can be. I'm sure there are less violent possibilities as well.

Whatever the method we use, in this incident, or the next, or maybe the one after that, I think it is very important that this new kid acquires some comprehension of "consequence," before he gets his very own nuclear button.

I'm down with that 100%, but I'm not sure the Pentagon would be. For a couple of reasons. First off, I think they'd be reluctant to take the chance that it wouldn't work; and second, I don't think they'd want to showcase our missile defense technology right in China's backyard, directly under the umbrella of their electronic intelligence network.

Other than that, though, I completely agree that it's probably way past time we started playing hardball with that crazy little fuck. I don't think there's any way we can avoid having to go down that road anyway. Might as well do it now. As Steve Earle would say, "Man, let's just get to it."

And we’re also bound by prudence to stand with our South Korean allies, yes.

Not her fault she can't tell the difference between North Korea and South Korea. They're too far away for her to see them from her house.

What's your point? I'm certainly not disagreeing with any of that, or with you.

I was pointing out an egregious error to another poster. Does anyone read before they post anymore?

Those damn haters.

I would suggest a cup of warm milk followed by a nice long cry into your pillow to vent your frustrations.

I bolded the point for you, Muse. The part both you, and the person you were replying to missed about how horribly those poor North Koreans have been treated by the big, baa-aaad, United States.

Does anyone read what they quote anymore?

Apparently, no, you don't.

Are you aware there's a page one to this thread?

I am not at all crying about N. Korea. I can't even imagine what would make you think that.

Read what's actually on the screen, instead of what you're assuming and making up.

She is a gift of what life is...timing, for the dems. No dem wants her to go away so she...remains the gift that keeps on giving. Dems shouldn't, she is in the depths of hoof-in-mouth disease almost every time she opens her mouth.

Oh, I read the post, Muse, and I read the one you were replying to as well. While I agree with your assessment of that one, failing to mention the source of the animosity burned any extra credit you had on the books.

What is really scary is that we have people in this country that think this moron would make a good president.

Lol, and now look at Oblunder!

So it is your considered opinion that palin (who quit her job as govonor of alaska because she felt she was not capable of fulfilling her duties) would be a better president than the current one?

Have you checked the u.s. military budget lately to compare it to what our government does for our poorest?

and they are starving slaves to that cause.

Of course no one starves in amerika

Is it a country even,

Obviously it is a country that the u.s. is not interested in getting into a pissing contest with again, since the last time we got our asses handed to us there.

or just an enormous concentration camp with a flag?

You would do well to heed your own advice for there is no one in this country who has a clue to the consequences of the nuclear button...for a beginning of that understanding one would need to have been in japan for the first public trials of nukes.
