Status: offline 		In my opinion, I think he's going to learn the hard way that sometimes people do cut off their nose to spite their face. What I mean by that is he hasn't delivered sufficiently on the change he promised when he could have. He didn't deliver because he didn't want to not because he couldn't.
The public option is just one example of many. The majority of Americans by a wide margin wanted a public option. Many Republicans wanted a public option but he didn't lift a finger to provide it. And now he's telling us malarkey that we have to keep working harder if we want progress. He thinks were too stupid to believe that he had a chance to enact the public option. He wants us to believe that it was just too hard to do and had nothing to do with his effort. Unfortunately for him people are not buying it and he's going to pay a price unless he admits he made mistakes and he's going to recommit to the change he promised.

Lowest ever: Obama job approval sinks to 39%, as even Democrats' support melts away

President Obama has passed the Big 4-0 -- going the wrong way.

Turns out voters were not simply satisfied to spank the Democrat and his party in the Nov. 2 midterm elections with historic losses in the House of Representatives.

Obama's job approval rating as calculated by the Zogby Poll has now sunk to 39%, a new low for his 22-month presidency that began with so much hope and excitement and poll numbers up around 70. As recently as Sept. 20, his job approval was 49%.

A whopping 60% now disapprove of his job, up from 51% disapproval Sept. 20.
Obama now trails in hypothetical 2012 matchups against Republicans Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich and the next Bush, Jeb.

And, oh, my! Lookee here! Obama has even fallen into a statistical tie with none other than Sarah Palin, the former Alaska governor.

Status: offline 		Brain, I'd be happy if he'd just close that Mexican border and started enforcing our immigration laws again.
Hell, most people would be happy with that and he'd go above 70% approval.
So far he's bailed out big corporations, given the American People a healthcare plan that 70% of them don't want and sued Arizona for trying to enforce the laws that *He* should be enforcing.
I think the voters have put a "restraining order" on him in that last election. He'll either have to work with Republicans or listen to Nancy Pelosi and get nothing done.
And he needs to stop listening to himself and start l-i-s-t-e-n-i-n-g to the American People!
He's not in office to dictate anything to us, he's in office to take care of The People's business.
If you're going to go against the American People you're going to lose.

Overall, 48% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the president's performance.

I don't recall him being terribly specific on the kinds of change he was promising. He leaned heavy on the mantra without laying out much substance underneath it. In all fairness, nobody could have lived up to all of the hype and expectation that this president rode into office on. He missed the mark in incredibly incompetent fashion but it would have been a high bar for anyone to leap.

I wonder why the general polls offer one set of numbers and the polls of black folks offer astronomically higher numbers. Could it be that those folks are judging this guy by the color of his skin? The same thing they implore the rest of society never to do?

Brain you can barely construct a sentence at a 2nd Grade level - why not get your GED first- and then worry about politics?

There ya go Thomtx. I fixed your half assed, grammatically erroneous post for you. I also re-skimmed Brain's and each sentence is actually a sentence, unlike your own.  While " barely " and " hardly " are synonomous, the more appropriate term would have been " hardly ". But I allowed for your ignorance. Periods are  the proper punctuation for ending a sentence. The use of a dash is not interchangable with a period.

Now, do you have anything to add to the conversation,  or was it your intent to just shit on Brain's post to make yourself look like a big man ? Because you just got a big ole  " F "  in English 101 and a  " A+ " in hypocrisy and jack assery.
