Hippiekinkster -> Woman allowed to fie for pregnancy (11/25/2010 3:09:13 AM)

In the Peoples Fascist Republic of Pennsylvania, a woman was de-facto murdered by the State by being denied proper medical care.

Pennsylvania is such a shithole...
"Efforts earlier this year by the organization's The FOCUS on Women Campaign helped to pass a Senate bill banning the shackling of women during birth (it needs the support of the House to pass)."

it is a tragic story that resulted in the loss of two lives, but i gotta tell ya, Hippie, I have lived in Pennsylvania my entire life and it is NOT a shithole.

I live in PA my ADULT life- and I would live NO WHERE ELSE!

I am with Holly on this one.

Well, that's your opinion... I've spent over 25 years in Georgia and it's STILL a shithole. At least the roads are better here. The shithole where I was born and raised, Rochester, NY, has roads which are barely better than cow paths.

It's not possible to go faster than 50KPH on an interstate in PA without having the front end of your car vibrated to pieces. I saw one of those huge John Deere double-axle tractors completely disappear into a pothole on a detour from I-77 near Eerie.

OK, yes, I am making the fun a la Borat but what kind of people would let a woman die like that? What the fuck is wrong with those people? Why are Red Staters so fucked up in the head like that, that they will let a young woman die so they can stick to the rules?

I wouldn't want you to live anywhere else.

So Georgia and NY are shitholes as well?

Guess what, Hippie....it is what you MAKE of it. There is no state that is perfect...Pa has bad roads, but that is because we have bad winters where the snow is knee high. But when that snow is so deep and we are stranded, there will be a stranger who stops his car to offer a hand, or a neighbor who will work his way to your home to make sure you are ok. There are road crews that work around the clock to try to clear the roads, and power company employees that do the same.
Pennsylvania has had a few disasters, but if you keep your heart open, you will see human nature at its finest.

Open your heart, dude...and Happy Thanksgiving.

Thank you Holly.

PA has more elderly per capita then almost every other state.   We have programs here. THINGS WORK HERE!

I lived in IL and they more less FUCK THE WEAK OVER.  There are no programs there and when there are there is no funding.

Sure there are random problems here... but  Pennsylvania is in the top 3 states to live in, in my opinion; particularly for retired and disabled.

PA has over 56,000 miles of primary roads-  and over 8,000 bridges.

Also know as the Keystone state- where much traffic  must pass thru

And you expect every inch to be smooth enough to perform a circumcision on them?

//  I blew my transmission on a road via a bad road---  and that was in Chicago.....

tazzygirl -> RE: Woman allowed to fie for pregnancy (11/25/2010 4:26:29 AM)

And Florida has more elderly as a percentage of population than any other state.

My, that is impressive. Knee high snow. We didn't get any of that snow stuff up there near Rochester and Buffalo. We weren't burdened with any of those "neighbor" types either. In fact, I'm thinking that upstate NY was so idyllic that I'll be moving back myself. I might stop off and spend a couple weeks in Williamsport PA. They used to have the best drugs back then around 1973 or so. Middle PA was famous for the drugs. I reckon that's why there were so many helpful strangers looking to make a drug deal.

I was going to make a remark about irony and satire and sarcasm, but I figure it's pointless.

I'm having a flashback! It's Elvis!!!! "Viva, Pennsylvania!"

pahunkboy -> RE: Woman allowed to fie for pregnancy (11/25/2010 4:39:11 AM)

Nope  Bill town is dry on drugs these days.

Lewistown is the better bet.

Quack. Have some coffee. Hawaiian Kona. Or some herb. Hawaiian Kona.

pahunkboy -> RE: Woman allowed to fie for pregnancy (11/25/2010 4:44:21 AM)

Speaking of drugs the scan/pats would have gone better if they did not stop making qualudes.  LOL.  That was before my time.

yeah...bet you neither checked on others or were checked on yourself. Again Hippie....it is what you make of it. If you want good neighbors..you have to BE a good neighbor.

If you are going to be a miserable cynic, you will never be happy no matter where you live.

It is Thanksgiving...a day when you count your blessings. Personally, i have a new blessing to be thankful for...that you are not one of my afore mentioned neighbors!

I haven't had coffee in a long time. But when I did, it was either Kona from Aikane Estates, or Jamaican Blue Mountain from Rooster Farms, or Costa Rican Terrazu (don't remember the estate). I avoid stimulants.

I talk to my neighbors several times a week.  She goes to my church and I go to hers, we have lunches together teas, share handyman,  send food over. We watch tv together...

Next door and across the street and in back- we are all cordial.

I reached out to her, and others and it WORKS.

The best part of my town is the PEOPLE.

When I lived across the river- it was close to this!

It IS what you make it.
