Status: offline 		rule I don't think you are right... of course the bases of both parties still feel the way they did two years ago but there is a very large portion of non-aligned voters that I believe have swung away from Obama... If the election were today I don't think he could beat Huckabee for instance. But of course just an opinion. If you must know or care to I would vote for Obama again but I bet I and you would be in the minority.

I doubt it, we have a fickle population that believes the President can wave a magic wand.

The economy has improved, despite the naysayers, and when it improves more they will be praising Obama, even though the President's effect on the economy is relatively limited.

Besides, we tend to like the devil we know.

How else would you explain Bush getting re-elected after it was apparent what a debacle he involved us in with Iraq?

3 chaps just got lost at sea for 50 days thinking with the little head all for some pusseh
I think the criteria for a states person should be more than celebrity whoring skills.
When hot becomes the criteria for choosing anything more than a booty call or a partner or an upcoming movie/tv show... you should be zappped until you come to your senses. I certainly take people less seriously when someone ascribes leadership potential based on looks.
As a woman tho Im just jealous and vindictive

Why do so many of you liberals have "Palin derangement syndrome"?

Why is it that of the perhaps 15 or so posters here who are on the left, the vast majority tend to resort to personal attacks, while the 1 or 2 posters on the right make generally reasoned arguments (albeit with a dash of sarcasm at times).

Relax Folks, she's not running and is laughing all the way to the bank every time a liberal on TV invokes her name and keeps her in the news.

She does a great job at articulating Conservative principals and makes a ton of money for GOP candidates. That would be enough, but it's such fun to watch how she can still make liberal commentators (and CM posters, apparently) go apoplectic with a 2 line observation on Facebook. Amazing.

Im not a liberal or a dem, Im worse, I do not have Palin Derangement Syndrome, and anyone that uses those words in that sequence are immediately snorted at by myself, because my understanding of derangement is far different to what it apparently  means to users of said "description".

Reasoned arguments? hm out of the "right wing posters" here there are more than two that can make reasoned arguments, but even they can be just as snipey, bitchy and wrong as anyone on the left. Otherwise part of the reason you are not seeing righties making personal attacks, is that many attacks have usually been moderated and removed. That works for both "sides"

She is putting herself out there via twitter and facebook. where she can dismiss any negatives. Im not sure why you think people should just think she is wonderful and not talk about her fuck ups and drama queen moments.

Its an insult to honest whores to call her a whore, but doing everything she can to make her family media darlings is honestly pathetic.
BTW Your definition of apoplectic is nowhere near the dictionary definition, and therefore way OTT and makes you look like a troll
Now maybe if you didnt come on and "attack" every lefty here in your first  post you might be taken seriously

Just a couple of observations about your post.

Did you think of "Palin Derangement Syndrome" on your own?

Of course you didn't, you are just our newest parrot that repeats whatever is said to them by conservative pundits.

Do you think that phrase is something new here?  Our other conservative parrots have been repeating it for years.

Which gets me back to the topic of whether most conservatives really want to think for themselves.

From my observations the answer seems no.

Watching FOX and listening to Limbaugh is so much easier than trying to form your own opinion.

You may need to come to grips with the possibility that the majority agreed with Bush's actions then and disagree with Obama's now.

Everyone will not agree with either of us or either party....sometimes we will just be in the minority... we must accept it and work for the future...Otherwise the election is never a mistake or wrong... It is what it is.

Hanson's star rose like a rocket in the mid-1990s, she led a party called One Nation that in some respects seems like a precursor of the Tea Party.

Well it's like this, say there's two groups in a park on a nice sunny day.
The first group is Obama's and they're all sitting around him quietly listening to him making one of those long boring "idealogue" speeches for an hour and a half like Fidel Castro. Some of them may even have gone to Cuba to help the proletariot with the sugar cane harvest between semesters at Yale or Harvard.
They intently suck up very word from their "leader." "I think that,........we should,...........allcometogetherontheseissues!"
The other group is Palin's. They have hotdogs, hamburgers, beer and and three live bands playing. Palin isn't preaching she's working the crowd shaking hands, kissing babies and having a great time! This group is smiling.
Obama's rocket went way up in 2007 and started to come down in 2008. Palin's rocket went up in 2007 and is still going up.
The first group see's Palin's group having a blast while they're sitting around listening to their leader and getting sunburned. Some of them have to go to the bathroom but dare not because there's no porta-potties for this group and they'd have to go over to Palin's side and use those and be exposed to "the great unwashed" and people who,....."may not have a "degree" from Harvard, Yale, or Columbia!"
Better to crap in their pants than to get up and walk away and be thought of as disrespectfull to the leader!
They know that Palin is much more popular than Obama now that Americans have seen the true Obama!
Now, they can't understand their obsession with Obama but they continue it anyway, afterall, they're the "smart people!"
You know, this may be "Obama derangement syndrome."
Which of the two groups would you rather be in the park with on a nice sunny day?
