Yes, I'm not really fond of the feature.  I almost feel that it is counter productive after so many good things have been implemented regarding mail.  It's like hanging out the sign that says, "here's the fresh meat".

and it's just NEWEST LOCALS.. doesnt seem to pay any attention to the viewers choices.. nor does it allow you to delete those who hold no interest,

*waves at site Admins*... I know ya'll have a shitload to do already.. but when ya get around to it.. can it be set up like the 'who's viewing me' thing?

there is a box you can unclick to make it stop turning red.....I haven't noticed it since I did that.

Well,along the way the new users got broke, because it showed only new users that met your search criteria, and I would like the local to do the same, I would like all of it to filter correctly.

I don't even remember what back email I used to set up my account here, so I can't check if I'm getting them too, but the wife was getting notifications all day yesterday, at the big dinner with the family. A little awkward, when she is trying to show an elderly aunt the features of her new iphone.

I hope I wasn't lying when I told her she'd be able to switch that off very easily.

I checked the help section and couldn't find out how to switch off the e-mail notifications. If you've figured it out, would you mind sharing that information? Thank you!!!

Alot of that is in the My Account section (which also shows your email)

When you click the new local users tab, there is a box to turn off the email notifications.

Yep, uncheck both boxes and you won't see the red again......that was the FIRST thing I looked for!

You can still look, it appears nothing disables the feature, but at least it's not in your face "HERE I AM!"

I was hoping for something along the lines of the who's viewing me, to remove ones you dont want to look at but keep the ones you may want to contact...

I like it but one of the profiles said "Alabama" on it. That's about 8-10 hours drive from Myrtle Beach.
