It nearly had me in stitches. [:D]

Do I have enough time to make some popcorn before the status-quo defenders jump in?

Yes, and the president Obama and the Ben Bernanke must think the American People are stupid.

They should change their name- to "dollarman Sachs"

I can think of a couple of reasonable arguments that could be posited from their side.
Surprised no one has jumped on that bandwagon.
Well then again maybe not.   maybe the supporters of the system as it stands at large or those who are cipherin every day to figger out the best solutions to get their piece of the pie (welfare without the label), are praying this will silently die and go away while the country goes down the tubes.

FR

Taxes are higher than a year ago?

I don't read the news regular, not the everyday sort. But I must be more out of the loop than I quite intended.

Oh well ...

People who like the system the way it is certainly do for selfish reasons, whether they know it or not. However I know and can take solace in the fact that they are literally biting the hand that feeds them, and will implement their own destruction.

Our need for money (or scrip) fuels their power. We get money they get power, but first they don't want us to get money, and second the money isn't what it once was. Money will lose favor for many, even now some people are preparing. At least planning anyway, considering barter and a greater degree of self sufficiency, such as getting off the grid.

The nice part is that unpaid armies, polices forces and jail guards are not very motivated. But don't hold your breath, the fire dept. will go first, in order to pay some "artist" to make another replica of a rubber stamp that stamps the word "FREE" or perhaps another mess that looks like a giant paper clip that's gone through a meat grinder. They have their priorities straight.

Then in a few years Ben Burnbank will "admit" mistakes were made, just like Alan Greenhands did. Lather, rinse, repeat.

People will get sick of it.
