Given the amount of reputed corruption in FIFA, should not all self-respecting nations threaten to withdraw from it unless it sorts  out all the corruption endemic to it.
Personally I would just like all nations to withdraw from it to see the end of international football and the world cup. I grew out of football by the time I hit my teens. The less assoc football the better. Have not heard of such nonsense with rugby. 'Fraid I can't say the same for cricket after this years match fixing scandals but at least the cricket authorities investigate it and suspend those involved.

Perhaps not, but did the whole 'Quins scandal just pass you by totally?

People cheat at sport because there's rather a lot of money at stake, and people confronted with rather a lot of money are not trustworthy. They're all as bad as each other.
