You owe us everything you have anyway. If it wasn't for us allowing you to speak English without charging you a license fee, you'd all be communicating in mime. That's gotta be worth something, surely?

Serious point is that as I understand it, the expectation is that the US will bail us out. We're hoping to trade our way out of trouble. But that's difficult, because no-one here has any money, and we're all doing Austerity. But we heard the US have a big stimulus package going. We're up for a bit of that. If the Chinese don't grab it all first.

And again, this "global economy" just keeps getting better and better doesn't it?

Why don't we bail out our U.S. banks again instead, and trust them to help the EU? Worse than that, look at the poverty in Asia, shouldn't Asia get a bailout before the EU does? Think of the allies we could buy if we gave the Asian countries a bailout! The empire would be much bigger that way!

IMO, we should not be smug.

This whole thread is nonsense, nothing has been passed by Congress, its just pure specualtion. If any of you think America will do anything that doesnt suit its own ends, you are misguided.

Does the US need a new base for some of its lovely nuclear missiles? I'm sure we could find the room in return for a small fee...

Not really.  It is all about Bernancki.  Not congress.

Good luck with that: they're still charging us for this Trident bullshit, remember?

Right now, it's backed by the full faith of China.

This thread is depressing. So many posts not mentioning that OP is complete bollocks. The tinfoil hat brigade seized upon a comment some usaican said about usa not trying to stop the IMF.....and, with no reference to reality, turned it into this shit. It is total fiction, it has literally been created out of thin air, somewhere someone just decided to make this up, and people like pah repeated it because they're easily lead.

Those initials don't mean anything to me, and I don't care....I'm already familiar with the story, and know full well that 'us to bail out eu' is a summary of it that does not meet reality.

Dude- the link isĀ  CNBC.

If you think that's a credible source, why do you post all of this nonsense from prisonplanet?
