I read this thread and feel as though I have been punished for something. I think I'll just go to bed now. (* rubs eyes, scratches head, turns laptop upside down - sideways, and still cannot figure out what or why, closes laptop, turns off light, and makes mental note to add Nebraska to list of areas needing sensitivity training for its Doms, or at least one*)

hi all, i just wanted to say that i'm from Nebraska, as well. Nebraska does have a lot of things wrong with it, but blanket-statements are not fair to those of us who are decent people. every place on earth has idiots and jerks---they are not region-specific. just my imho pet peeve. blessings, crystal amber

The example given was that foriengers have trouble with English idioms, humor, and things like that, not confusing an apostrophe with a comma. It was not that all people living in NE are idiots, it was that he was an idiot and did not know how to use the English language even though he lived in the US and was not likely to be an ESL person. Sorry that you felt slighted.
