I wouldn't worry about it. I'm sure after 30 yrs in solitary he's probably less crazy.

He could have gotten the phone from anywhere. If he's in Solitary, it would most likely have been an employee of Corcoran...though i'm sure one of the inmate workers could have passed one to him somehow as well. They'll find out quickly, I'm sure. Now that he's been caught i highly doubt it would be out of character for him to throw whover it is under the bus.

It's not big news, it happens all the time. It only made the news because *he* had the phone. What they're not telling you about is the other dozen or so (minimum) inmates that they found with cell phones.

In California, they're working on making posession of a cell phone in prison a felony because it compromises the safety and security of everyone there (staff and inmates both). It's a long way off, but this will probably help things move in the right direction.

Young Blond Slave I would not count on the Prison Officials finding out who gave Manson the cell phone. I worked in the California State Prison System..at the Hotel California, what goes on in side prison would surprise many.

It seems like interfering with the signals would be the most effective solution, unless we are going to start doing full body scans on everybody who passes through the gates.
