I have a couple of sail boats. I was curious who else had sail boats?

My family bought a little boat a few years ago.  It fairly comfortably fits two in a mostly horizontal position, and is a very demure pale yellow color.  Thus, we felt it important to give it a big, imposing name:  The Marauder.  Tiny boat, big attitude.

I don't own a boat, but  I live amongst zillions of them.  I have a bit of sailing experience, the best of which was living for 11 days on a 44 ft. sloop anchored in Ft. Lauderdale.  We we were supposed to sail to the Bahamas, but the winds didn't cooperate, so we sailed down to Biscayne Bay for several days, had a blast.  I learned that sailing is actually very strenuous and even dangerous at times if you don't know what you're doing.  But I loved it and hope to do it again one of these days.

Wait a minute...sailboats....Oklahoma???

Isn't that where the wind comes sweeping down the plain? Where does one sail in the state of waving wheat that sure smells sweet when the wind comes right behind the rain? (Can you tell I've never actually been to Oklahoma?)

Kayaks for me...  I have a few...

I used to sail quite a bit, just pirates, but it was fun.  Haven't gone in years though!

Yours,

Well, for all you or I know, they might have filmed the movie in Kansas!

Rest assured, the rest of the song is pretty acurate, although I think Oklahoma is now more predominantly corn and cattle than wheat... but hey, can you imagine them singing "And the waving corn (or cattle), it sure smells sweat when the wind comes right behind the raaaaaaaiiiin!"

Well, waving corn smells pretty good but seeing as I've been on a cattle farm or two, I can tell you from experience that waving cattle don't smell too sweet...not even after a rain. But there not as bad as hogs....now a hog farm on a hot August day has to be the worst thing I have ever smelled in my life!
