Well there certainly are stereotypes about it, and I'm sure there's a reason that blonde is the most common hair color women choose to dye their hair into- whether it's because it's PERCEIVED differently or actually IS different is a matter of debate.

And I doubt it would have much to do with being born oriented as a dom, sub, switch or vanilla.

Just about every Domme I know or have met is a Redhead. Not natural but dyed. I used to wonder why redhair was such a big deal why so many chose that color or some variation of it. Does it make one feel more domly or some thing else?  ok still wondering

Well, I color my hair red, but I'm not a Domme (no matter what impression I give).  I color my hair red because it suits my coloring and eye color, etc.  Besides, with all the gray, I'm gonna be coloring it anyway, so why not something I like? lol

I did a search for "hair color and pain tolerance".  Here's the link that came up:

Wife/exwife is a redhead.  Birthed both our ten pound babies without pain medication.  She happens to be an angry, tempermental, and aggressive person.

I do know that redheads bleed more during operations, childbirth, etc.  This is a fairly accepted fact in the medical community.  I don't happen to know much about it, though, including why that's the case.

Probably also part of why we sunburn so easily too. As for the 10# babies without drugs...crimeny you sure know how to make a woman you've never met hurt...OUCH that's like passing a watermelon.

I'm a natural redhead. Even in the south this gets me a lot of attention, and makes me a bit unique. But in D/s circles 90% of the women are redheads. I always found that odd.

For what it is worth: I am a natural redhead and a natural submissive. I am fiery and I have a low patience. I have a high pain tolerance. Sexually, I get very aroused very easily and the changes "down there" make this very obvious. For most of my life (especially at school) being a redhead meant rejection. Later I discovered that some men only fancy redheads. So I now get a lot of attention, and this also leads to interesting debates as to whether my "fascinating" red bush should be kept or whether, as a slave, it should be shaved completely...

While doing some searching on pain the other day I ran across an interesting article that basically said that people of different hair color feel pain differently. That led me to some other sites on how our hair color supposedly affects or defines us. Now I know that we all know of the stereotypical things that get said about different hair colors, but I am wondering how much stock anyone really puts in it.

Does hair color make a difference in your choice of mate and if so why, other than just liking the way it looks? Do you believe that people of different hair color have different personalities...different traits that most people of a certain hair color share? Make them more/less submissive/Dominant?

I'm a red head and I guess I was a bit shocked by just how much I fit into the description they offered of the typical red head personality. Or maybe it's just because I'm a Leo...or a combination of the two...but it said that I am supposed to be fiery and live my life passionately, and yeah...that pretty much fits.

I think if hair color affects your personality at all, I'd bet its more to do with how you were treated and what you hear about how you should act -- you either tried to fit the model or fight against it.

For example, I was taught in "science" classes that red hair is a mutation of the hair color genes. So I figure I might as well be as non-normative as I can, right?

Yes, natural red hair is very rare... and yes, it is a mutuation of the genes.

I have auburn or red hair. Both Tom and Fox have natural red highlights in their hair and Tom had bright red hair when he was little and Fox's father is a strawberry blond.

I think subconsciously hair color is a factor when I consider whether or not to have sex with a partner. If I have children (biological children that is) I really want them to have red/auburn hair too. So I think I'm more attracted to men with redhair or with a history of red hair in their families.

I'm a brunette but its been determined that I have non-existant blonde roots LOL  hiding and invisible they are but sometimes I fall into the stereotypical blonde woman category - SCARY is what it is LMAO

disclaimer:  no insult was inmplied to blondes or other hair colors.....this was merely a personal observation of my  behaviour according to the common pre-defined traits that are said to come with the hair color ;)

I've often wondered if there are women out there that dye their pubic hair to match the hair on their heads.... Would Grecian Formula work "down there" as a previous post put it, for Men?? ...

I've got wayyyy too much time on my hands, huh?

On my way to work one morning I was listening to the morning radio show and the topic was funny Emergency Room stories. There was this surgeon on who related that he had a young woman come in one time with bright green hair and facial piercings who was complaining of abdominal pain. He said that when he examined her he was surprised to find that she had bright green pubic hair also...and a tattoo above it shaped like a little yard sign that said "Keep Off the Grass". Well it turned out that she needed to have her appendix out. They needed to partially shave her during the prep for the surgery. After the surgery was complete, he said he took a magic marker and wrote on her belly next to the tattoo..."Sorry but we had to mow the lawn". I nearly died laughing!

I saw a girl once with a do that made her head look exactly like a brussel sprout.......All I could think was ..."Did she MEAN it to look like that?"
