Status: offline 		TSA-Style Pat Downs Hit The Streets In Philadelphia, you don’t have to visit the airport to have the government molest you, TSA-style “stop, question and frisk” pat downs are already being conducted by police on the streets targeting people who act suspicious, by doing things like putting their hands in their coat pocket.

In the UK they can search anyone, so long as they don't specify they were doing it due to the colour of their skin. They simply use the anti-terrorist laws.

Searches under anti-terrorist laws in London? Over 100,000 now. Most targeted ethnic group? Afro-Caribbean.

Number of Afro-Caribbean terrorist arrests to date, as a result of said searches? Zero. Not a sausage. Bugger all.

And yet the Met claim they're not racist, and also claim they don't use anti-terrorist legislation inappropriately

Status: offline 		The Met are the worst of the lot, and to indicate, I once heard a dictaphone recording made by a relative a Sri Lankan, it was when he got pulled over by the Met in London and questioned as to why he was driving the a near top of the range Mercedes as went with his professional position, that of one of  the contracts managers of the then Canary Wharf development. I heard the words used and if not direct insults but words implied to mean as much, the Met despite what they deny are racist, as are many police.

Status: offline 		We have no rights in this country, oh except one and that is to vote our prisoners into power. But as a result most do not trust authority nor will get involved with the police, as many are coming to understand the police's interest is the same as that of the politicians, just sheer career enhancement on the backs of other's misfortune.

I once trusted them and had a belief in the structure of society where everything should work, hey I even voted conservative at that time too, but a rude awakening shifted my ideals, the society I believed in just was not there as I entered into the reality of the society we truly are.

Well I guess my next visit to the Reading Terminal market will be a really bitter cold day, and I'll have the whole family keep their hands in their pockets.   Totally moronic policy, which will be challenged in a law suit (hopefully mine) and the fucking city will lose.
