I think this whole issue is even more indication that the system is broken, and both sides of the partisan fence are playing for the same team.
The other problem is the insistence on calling a temporary tax holiday a tax increase when it expires.
What happens when the FICA cut comes to the end of its one year? Republicans will be screaming about "raising taxes" and making the cut permanent--more of their effort to kill social security.
