Which is to say that half the workers in this country are paid so little they do not meet the minimum for having any tax liability. All that tells us is that this country underpays a huge portion of the work force. The actual figure is more like 47%, but actually a lot of that is retired people who have lower income and simultaneously have that added deduction. Except for the 119,000 filers with income above $200,000 who paid zero income tax, of which were 6,000 with income above $1,000,000 who paid no income tax. That's from the tax year 2009.

You should have stopped at "Check the box," tazzy. That's at willbe's level of understanding, but something like "pass-through entity" is probably a beyond him. Not as bad as what I was going to point out though, the common practice of "transfer pricing," which would have been unfairly mind blowing in this situation.

Okay, I feel better now.  A little.


Steve, while I see and largely agree with the point you're trying to make, "Dignity" isn't at issue or at stake here. Do the wealthy and powerful use it as a pretext to win court cases? No doubt. Have they stopped throwing parties amongst themselves when they've been accused of a I crime? Doubtful in the extreme.

I'd also add that there are plenty of Bernie Madoff's and Mike Tyson's who did the crime, and did the time.

You forgot to mention the use of the deaths of 3000 innocents on 9/11 to launch the country into two wars and more life lost. Lies and deceit at every turn. Last I looked he just wrote a best seller and his minions just returned to power in Congress....I can't wait to see what happens.

Hannity has that fascination for Democrats' balls too? No wonder willbe is so locked on that.

Too focused on that to notice that Phil Gramm had the bankers' balls in his mouth the whole time he was on the Senate banking committee, including when he pushed through the two major deregulation laws that caused the whole mess.

If he knew one tenth as much about financial markets as he does about Democrats' balls he'd quit blathering such silly crap.

The solution to all of these problems is, of course, obvious to everyone: we must put the correct people in power who, with thier moral and intellectual superiority, their monopoly on truth, will then guide the benighted masses (that would be everyone except "me," and those who agree with "me") to paradise.
