What's wrong with the death penalty in a case like this ? In my mind he deserves to die and the sooner the better.

Law Enforcement need's to keep getting scumbag's like this off of the street's.Stop worrying about the guy smoking a joint or someone forgot to put on their seatbelt's.Law Enforcement need's all the resource's and attention it can give to the more serious violent/sexual offender's off our street.It sicken's me when they let some rapist out of prison in no time,but many non-violent drug user's are sitting in some cell for a long time.

I've said it before and I'll say it again... my opposition to the death penalty has nothing to do with the fact that some scumbags don't deserve it... I just do not think the government should have that much power over us and the fact than you can't reverse an exacution should it be discovered than an innocent has been wrongly convicted. If I had my way, Mitchel would be punished in the following manner: 1. Mitchel taken out to large open field. 2. Stripped naked 3. Hands tied behind back 4. Well, the only suspense here was whether the insanity defense would fly or not. I'm glad it didn't. I try to do what I think God would want me to do as well, but He's never told me to kidnap a child, dope her up and get her drunk, and rape her repeatedly. That's blasphemy to make a self-serving claim such as that and blame it on God.

And yet Cheney has a company offer $500 million to make sure it never goes to court, a company his family owns. But hey all is fair when big money is at stake, and how much did the Church offer to keep things out of court, jeezzz those children never mined what the priest did behind them But hey one case of a poor man's conviction, makes everyone forget the crimes committed by those with power...Yea justice

Well, I'm neither a theologian nor an attorney but I'd say it was either insanity or blasphemy (are both simultaneously possible?) If it was up to me insanity wouldn't protect you from anything but the death penalty anyway. If you're insane enough to do that you're too insane to ever be considered "cured". So, it's life for you, anyway.
