subexploring -> Admins: Can we *please* have a classification for professional dom/mes here? (12/10/2010 3:50:06 PM)

Not sure how to write to the administrators about this, so I guess I'll just post it here. I'd say at least half of the female profiles on this site are professional dommes. Since men do most of the writing-to around here, we have to go through and explore the profiles to find who we'd like to write to. Unfortunately the format here gives you no hint of what the person behind the user name is like until you load the profile, which takes time. I have no interest in pro dommes at all, they are completely outside the category of what I'm looking for. I'm sick of clicking on profile after profile and finding women trying to sell me sexual services.

The obvious solution is to have a search category for professionals, and have them highlighted in a different color. This is sensible and would be very helpful to male subs in particular. It would also make users decide exactly what they are here for, dollars or something else, which I think would also be good.

Thanks.

Fella, at least half the female profiles are not Dommes at all, pro or otherwise.

And if actually reading a profile slows you down, I'd say that you're coming dangerously close to qualifying for the bulk mail filter.

That said, your proposal has been made before.  I believe that the site modifications for it were considered a sticking point.

Don't be a smartass. As you well know, one has to reload the entire page to read a new profile, and yeah given my internet connection reloading the page dozens of times slows me down quite a lot. And I don't have to read female sub profiles because I can just search by dommes (self-proclaimed dommes anyway). I could see site mods being a legit problem but this would fit into the format -- it's just a new classification on top of sub/dom/switch. You would only need pro dom as I don't think pro subs are very common at all.

I'll eventually pay up to (hopefully) improve my crappy internet connection, but this is still a real issue -- given service in a lot of this country reloading a page dozens of times for no point is always going to be slow. Another way to tackle this would be to change the clunky interface but I imagine that would be harder.

Anyway, I've said my piece. This is a free service, there are real people, and I appreciate what we get. But there tends to be a lowest common denominator factor on the net and anything you can do to avoid it is good.

You know, I'm pretty sure if you click on Support at the bottom of the page on the personals side, one of the options on the drop-down menu is Feature Suggestion.  Posting your whine...er...request there would probably be far more beneficial.

Just sayin.

vancraft -> RE: Admins: Can we *please* have a classification for professional dom/mes here? (12/10/2010 4:57:01 PM)

my advice: simply hide the profiles that your not into, pro-dommes, fakes, not your ideal body type ect.
it will take abit but when you re-search it will stop already viewed profiles that your not into from showing up

This is, indeed, a grave customer service issue. I suggest that you demand your money back.

PS. You aren't the first one to have, or post, this 'clever idea'. Not by a long shot. The mods have heard this suggestion many times. Here is the trouble - If they aren't making it clear in the tops of their profiles that they are pros, what on Earth makes you think that all these tricky women who are deliberately wasting your time are going to select the pro label? The ones who care about wasting your time and being honest are going to put that at the START and, hence, are not the women are you talking about.

Furthermore, if the mods go to the trouble of making this change, they will - I will put money on this - just get threads bitching about too many money-grabbing, tribute demanding women aren't listing themselves as pros and how dare the mods not do anything about it. Then the mods have to make decisions about who is a pro and who isn't and they still have to listen to same amount of whining.

I suspect there are other reasons why the change hasn't been made as of yet though perhaps they will make it in the future. But, in the meantime, you can always demand your money back!

You've been here almost five years.

And you've posted before. So...WHY didn't you bother to do a search on this topic?
There are about 4 or 5 threads a month making this..."suggestion". They all end the same. Don't expect a positive response here.

And let me just add, that the admins on the forums have nothing to do with the personal ad portion of CM. I would suggest that you at least go to the correct source to make the suggestion.

Yeah, saving time is important.

What might be even more efficient, if that's your attitude, is to skip the courtship, coupling, relationship, understanding and partnership and just skip to the bit where you break up. So just cut out the middleman by taking $100,000 in cash, burning it, then giving your prized possessions to a tramp, then moan for a bit before getting on with your life.

shivermetimbers -> RE: Admins: Can we *please* have a classification for professional dom/mes here? (12/10/2010 6:47:30 PM)

Hey, why complain? The pro-Domme ads have great pictures, some of the best on CM, to include links to their personal sites, with even more pictures. Okay so your internet is slow...just slow down and enjoy the ride.

Then again, you may be one of those that only looks at Playboy to read the articles.

Actual helpful suggestion -- thanks much!

AquaticSub -> RE: Admins: Can we *please* have a classification for professional dom/mes here? (12/10/2010 9:14:57 PM)

What? Pointing out that this has been posted at least 20 times before and the mods are already aware of the suggestion so you probably shouldn't waste your time isn't helpful?

Jeez, try to save a guy a minute and you get dismissed. I just figured since reading profiles is a waste of your time.... [;)]

Well, that's easy, after they create the program for the new classification, they can also program a little man to come flying out of the screen and hold a gun to their heads until they select the correct classification.

Easy peasy.

Just ignore the profile's you don't want to view again.

I can't believe you're being forced to load profiles. You mean to say they haven't issued you your woman yet? Every man who makes a free profile on CM gets a Domme or sub shipped to him automatically, without his having to put in any time or effort. You should really complain to the admins about whatever glitch in the system is delaying the arrival of yours.

Jaybeee -> RE: Admins: Can we *please* have a classification for professional dom/mes here? (12/11/2010 4:32:57 AM)

I'd vote for a classification where a user displays whether he is into masterdom or slavery for himself, and a similar structure for females.
