Beasts of Burden
I use this term often, having a precise image in my mind when I say it.
This is a big man. A strong man. He's got physical strength. He carries things for me. He goes above and beyond "handyman" skills of changing a piece of plumbing, into the realm of "this guy can rip out rafters with his teeth and spit nails into 2x4s" (not literally of course). He doesn't wear women's clothes, and probably wouldn't even fit into them anyway, because he's tall, big, and husky. He exudes masculinity. He benchpresses..... me. He is the prime body guard. The prime chariot puller. He can lift me up without grunting and carry me to an awaiting bath without running out of breath. He can reach the things on the top shelf. He can lift me up so I can see over physical obstacles.
And...

he's wrapped around my little finger and can cuddle at my feet like a teddy bear when the world's not looking.

What's your definition on the "beast of burden"?

Status: offline 		For me it would just be someone who did grunt labor, unskilled grunt labor at that.

Big and strong but looks, brains, and skills wouldn't matter much.

Doesn't hold much attraction to me.

Especially when I can have a slave who fills a multitude of roles.

I think of the beast of burden, as I guess the financial slave, the guy who get up every morning togoto a job he hates, to support his wife, kids etc... To me thats the beast of burden...

To me, it defines a guy, like your guy, Who just wants to honor you. There is no unfavorable connotation it that. It's the main reason I want to elevate a lady to my own shoulders.

That would be my description.... hell... fantasy even.. do you have a spare?
 
Ok, thank you Proprietrix... now you got me thinking about it again.. I was quite content to just push that from my head... Hell, I had even stopped following TeeGO around (really TeeGO. I'm not a stalker... well, not a dangerous one)

After reading so many of your forum posts I would never said "stupid" fits you however. And Jewel, if a male is what you seek I can totally understand the stalking!! Sometimes I curse myself for my all female wants.............

A spare?  LOL, Hell, I was hoping to find some myself!

(And not in reply to jewel, but in general) I must admit, I was suprised to see that for some people there is a negative attachment of this sort of 'dumb goof' with the whole beast of burden concept. I never saw it that way myself. I envision a strong, capable man. I think it takes a lot of mental perseverance to work hard physcial labor day in, day out, and then come home to a Mistress who demands the same, and not whine or putz around about his aching feet, but rather eagerly grab up the next duty as if it were the first of the day. And still be able to put that machismo aside to understand her and serve her with diligence, and have a gentle touch......   <digressing into fantasy>

I often wondered when looking at femdom art of the male slaves carrying the Mistress's throne, why the men in those drawings were always 4 frail men bent over in physical exursion (sp?). I'd feel much more confident on the back of one strong man who can not only hold me up, but while doing so, also hold his head up high.

(wanders away wondering if she's developing a new fetish......)

Beast of Burden. Reminds me so of the gentle donkey that carried Mary as she was with child to Bethlehem.
 
In a slave sense, my “Beast of Burden,” is gentle, humble, strong and works so hard for my benefit.
They do not ask for much but, do so much. Rarely complain and if they do, it is justified. They thrive on love and affection, even a gentle pet will do.
 
They go until they drop dead, that is why these little beasts of burdens need someone to give permission to rest, to eat and to be admired, loved and appreciated.

As far as reducing someone who is physically strong to mere "grunt work" ?  I "hire" out for all my grunt work
