Apologies if this is a post that has been posted before but I am new to the site. Can anyone tell me where i can purchase a smotherbox?

Like a coffin? I used to have a coffin that became airtight and I had it specially made by a local coffin maker and BDSM furniture maker. It had a little window over the face and a device inside that if pulled, would ring a little bell on the outside. I have never seen anything like it on the BDSM market and I'm sure if there is such a thing, it would be hugely expensive. My advice to you would be to find someone who is into the kink, who knows how to make such a thing.

I think he's thinking more of a low chair without a bottom so he can be smothered by her behind...

It is similar to a queening chair. However it is a locked box with a space for the neck and the face is open. Hence the sub cannot move during face sitting. Some have padded leather inside. Some are ornately decorated. Some dommes do request handy subs to make their own. Unfortunately I know of none skilled enough.

Ah ok! Well I looked at your profile and see you are from the UK. I know a number of people that could make this for you and know someone who is presently offloading some stuff and probably has a ready made one. If your interested I can give you some numbers?

There are a few places online. Your best bet is to find a local craftsman, though. Your smother box should be fitted to your specs. Make sure that it has thick, dense padding. I can almost guarantee you that you will be spending a lot of time on it. You are going to want it to be comfortable. And make sure that it is not too low. You want to sit comfortably with no strain on your hips. Another consideration is the head or back padding for your slave. He needs to be at the proper height for maximum access.
