The simple fact is that the climatologists never predicted a complete end to winter weather anywhere. What is predicted in the short term is more chaotic weather across the globe, exactly like unusually snowy winters in places used to mild dry winters and drought conditions across broad areas (last summer in Russia for instance).

Yeah, they changed to "predictions" of chaotic weather when not one of their fucking models could predict a damn thing. Hint: the climate has always been chaotic, and nobody has predicted a goddam thing that the Farmers Almanac couldnt have written.

But, Wilbur, this could be the hottest year EVER recorded! EVER! That the planet is 4 billion years old, and we've been recording temperatures for maybe 150 years, and getting a big enough, accurate enough, sample to generate a decent average for maybe 50 of those years doesn't matter. Don't even let the thought enter your mind. It might be the hottest year EVER recorded! We have to hurry, and send all our money to developing countries, and island nations that would still be living in the fucking stone age if not for the tourism created by those awful western democracies.

Yeah but CO2 must be a pollutant because you cant survive in an atmosphere thats 100% CO2. [sm=banghead.gif]

No, the actual scientists involved always said the weather would get more chaotic as the climate warmed. Only the press, which is notoriously bad at communicating science, ever made predictions about the end of snow or uniformly hot weather everywhere.

popeye1250 -> RE: 'Children just aren't going to know what (12/20/2010 10:25:07 AM)

PaHunk, six months ago the "global warming" retards were trying to tell us that this would be the hottest year on record.
Seems every time they come out and make statements like that mother nature slaps them across the face.lol

Bullshit. They only climbed on that bandwagon when everything they predicted didnt happen.

Another area you spout unintelligent and unknowledgeable asswipe in....you should read up on that.

DomKen -> RE: 'Children just aren't going to know what (12/20/2010 4:02:23 PM)

Can you even begin to provide evidence for that claim? What journal articles by which scientists made those claims?

You can start with these:

the majority of the predictions were peer reviewed and/or IPCC official statements; their failure peer reviewed

I should have known. A climate denial site. No actual articles and simple assertions by denialists about studies they don't provide. Try again. The articles themselves. Not some liars lies about them.

'
I did know...that the ad hominen would come out. Refute the substance, not the site. Oh....you cant....peer reviewed is your mantra. The findings that refute the predictions have been peer reviewed. Stick to Israel. Youre 0fer everwhere else.

DomKen -> RE: 'Children just aren't going to know what (12/21/2010 10:50:40 AM)

What peer review? You posted a bunch of assertions posted on climate denial websites and gathered up by another climate denial site. It was actually impossible in most cases to track back to any actual journal articles they were supposedly refuting because they either never name the article at all or simply givethe authors last name, which is less than helpful.

I did. They were not to journal articles, like I said above.

Has anyone heard or seen anything about Al Gore lately?
It's been in the *20's* here in Myrtle Beach for the last two weeks. The puddles are turning to ice!
Oh sure, let's give even more of the Taxpayer's money to foreign countries!
If we let those,...."progressives" have their way they'll take us right back into the 19 th century.

You forgot the other half of the equation:
Global warming = climate change

That's often what happens when you talk in class [;)]

You have to click on those little colored words called links.

Meanwhile, just for shits and giggles...

Piers Corbyn works in an undistinguished office in Borough High Street. He has no telescope or supercomputer. Armed only with a laptop, huge quantities of publicly available data and a first-class degree in astrophysics, he gets it right again and again... He seems to get it right about 85 per cent of the time and serious business people - notably in farming - are starting to invest in his forecasts... How on earth does he do it? He studies the Sun.

The sun! How utterly silly. Back to church, folks, nothing to see here.

K.

Wilbur. I checked out a half dozen of those articles. they looked like they were written by an 8th grader with an agenda.. I dont know what peers reviewed the articles (or indeed if any did) but the math errors alone were pitiful.
Not to mention graphs read 'backward'.

cherrypicking at its finest.

Note: I have NEVER on here endorsed mumal caused warming. My point is and has been that oil is finite and way too damn precious to burn.
