anyone else?

I wonder if the eclipse has anything to do with it.

Okay, I can't tell whether or not you're taking the piss with this one. If so, congrats, you've got me stumped.

I think being insane has more to do with it than any eclipse ever could.

Well, the obvious question is, did you change your medications shortly before the nightmares began?  Maybe you had a drink that could have reacted with a med?

I don't remember my dreams...they were so long ago.

Well Steven, he DID post a question about some new meds......and stef's answer not withstanding, yeah, my guess is that the new drugs are causing the nightmares.  Even when I use the benedryl or melatonin to help me sleep, I can guarantee that I'm going to have some reaaaaaaaalllly wierd dreams!

Next time, instead of asking here, PA, try reading the sheets that come with your drugs...that will give you more information than we can.  Everyone reacts differently to drugs.....what happens to me may not happen to you.  Use your common sense!  Most of us here aren't docs........

SorceressJ -> RE: Bizare nightmares last night- this week (12/19/2010 1:32:19 PM)

Sometimes dreams are just random weirdness. Know your meds, eat and drink lightly, try not to worry too much or enter sleep mode when upset/angry/sad, and be gentle with yourself. I know all this is a lot to ask of most people, including myself, what with all that we all have going on, but still, do try. I wish you good rest; point of fact, I wish it for -ALL- of us..

Even the ones into medical play?

Yep, even those.  However, here's something to ponder about the REAL docs......doesn't it make you wonder why it's called PRACTICING medicine?  You'd think after a while they'd get good at DOING it!  [X(]

gungadin09 -> RE: Bizare nightmares last night- this week (12/19/2010 3:07:57 PM)

i don't get nightmares often, but i often have difficulty sleeping when i'm stressed, or around the holidays; when something changes in my environment- moving, whatever. Maybe the nightmares are the same thing.

Phoenixpower -> RE: Bizare nightmares last night- this week (12/19/2010 4:41:11 PM)

nope, no nightmares here,i just had 4 great dreams in a row [:)]

pahunkboy -> RE: Bizare nightmares last night- this week (12/19/2010 4:54:38 PM)

No new meds.    Not that they were bad nightmares- but very intriguing.

ShaharThorne -> RE: Bizare nightmares last night- this week (12/19/2010 6:24:22 PM)

I wonder if new meds could be the trouble.  They uped my Depokate to 1500mg and I am doing okay.  No change that I can tell, expect for...Cthulhu...must not get scared...

I am experiencing roleplaying withdrawals...

tropicalhoney -> RE: Bizare nightmares last night- this week (12/19/2010 6:32:28 PM)

Yikes, I have to admit to having some weird dreams the last few nights, though I am guessing it has more to do with my fever than with the moon! Just a guess, but...

pyroaquatic -> RE: Bizare nightmares last night- this week (12/19/2010 6:38:24 PM)

Because of my bizarre nightmares I have not been sleeping well. Sometimes not at all. Damn you zombies!

Cuddling my frog is not cutting it any more.

roleplaying withdrawals. At least with no sleep I have been progressing on crafting rules to my Roleplay Game. Yay yay yay. No one wants to playtest or has the time. A nightmare in of itself.

I went off my medication two and 1/2 weeks ago. I was hallucinating for five days. Hooo was I wired.

Agrees. [:)]

soul2share -> RE: Bizare nightmares last night- this week (12/19/2010 7:06:24 PM)

When I have nightmares, they are strange ones.....the worst ones are when I'm feeling like I'm losing control of situations in my life.....I have one where all the teeth in my head are breaking apart.  My mouth is full of gritty bits of tooth, everytime my tongue touches one, more bits fall off.  It feels so real that the first thing I do is run my tongue over my teeth to make sure they are still there when I wake up.  It's like I can feel and taste the bits of teeth!  Another one sort of related is that I am chewing a huge was of gum, which I NEVER do, and it gets hung up on my teeth and I have to reach in and peel it off the tooth...again, there is a realistic feeling that goes with it....I can feel it actually peeling off the tooth and gums.

My nightmares aren't scary, as in monsters and death......but rather sensory type dreams where I feel things physically that are happening in my dreams.  But the good news is that it also works that way for my erotic ones!  [:)]  I've had dreams where I'm getting beaten, and when I wake up, it's like it actually happened and my body is in such a relaxed state that I literally can't move or get out of bed.  I'm just a puddle of mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

dreamofthemoon -> RE: Bizare nightmares last night- this week (12/19/2010 7:31:11 PM)

If you say so, soul. It's been awhile since i was on any benadryl or melatonin (and even then, i don't really remember any of my dreams). Though i did have a dream with a moose (in my grandparent's house, at that, too) in it the other night, don't know if that would be considered a nightmare or not. [&:]

But, jealous of you having dreams of beatings! [:(]

soul2share -> RE: Bizare nightmares last night- this week (12/19/2010 8:28:11 PM)

Well, dream, unfortunately, dreaming has been the closest thing to getting beaten I've had lately.....{sigh}

When I dream, I seem to dream in full color, movie length and very vivid, memorable ones.  Which can be a good thing OR a bad thing!  There have been times when I've woke up, wandered around to forget the dream, yet when I go back to sleep, pick it up right where I've left off.....this usually only happens during the nightmare ones....NEVER the good ones...dammit!  [>:]

dreamofthemoon -> RE: Bizare nightmares last night- this week (12/19/2010 8:47:35 PM)

Yup, same here. Very vivid, movie length, memorable (for awhile, anyways).
