To me it's a natural evolution of a relationship.

I don't think you can have a healthy BDSM relationship with out having a solid vanilla foundation.

It adds a deeper purpose and meaning to the relationship. It creates a stronger relationship because it does add meaning and depth to everything that we do as a couple, or as individuals.

It's a position of safety, security, trust, honesty, that vanilla relationships don't come close to. Because the psychological and spiritual connection is so strong between a dominant and their submissive/submissives that it becomes a lifestyle to achieve that emotional honesty with yourself, and be accepted for what you really are with out judgment or criticism.

It's acceptance, and agreement.

What does this lifestyle mean to you?
"Lifestyle?" Umm, it means nothing really. Everyone's lifestyle is uniqiue to them. But I know that a lot of people use the term to differentiate power exchange/kink/bdsm from vanilla.

What does the role you play mean to you?
I don't consider my being submissive a role that I play. I am a submissive rather than temporarily playing one.

Is it all just fun and games for you or much more?
Well, of course it's fun and games. lol But, it's also serious. I mean I take it seriously, the power exchange and all, but the kinkiness is fun too. lol Bottom line? It's fun, it's fulfilling, it's awesome, and I'd never EVER go back to 'nilla.
