dont know if it would work or not (as it was suggested before that it would be peed over to cover the smell) but I know that cats can't stand the smell of tea tree oil, cause always when I use it when I have a nasty cold, mine are nowhere to be seen...they don't want to know me with that smell on me....so I would cover that area with the tea trea oil....

Felis Domesticus is on the top 100 list of environmentally invasive species. Now you know why! Classed as "vermin" in many states. Tell your neighbor to spray "sour apple spray" around her stoop weekly. That is the only thing I have found that keeps the four footed critters away. Treasure, he doesn't do it alot, and I can't smell it on the bed because I've cleaned it, but he can still smell it, and when he's pissed at me for something I have or haven't done, he goes and sprays. Hence the new box springs.....I just wish I knew why he started doing it! He never did it when I had my dog. And he and the other 3 don't tear up the furniture, they actually prefer their scratcher thing....it's corrogated cardboard in a cardboard box...cheap and they love it!
