Good morning,
For the last few night I have not been sleeping well. I am still working on taking my foot at of my 'butt' to but it litely. And I am here to say I am sorry. Because I have hurt my self and some one else and I am working on making a mends.
And if some well see when I sign this I am not putting the word Master before my name. Well basicaly I have lost that title and respect, thats how I see it. And yes I have been working on slowaly getting the buetifull, warm and loving woman back, that I have been talking to that I have hurt. And I am sure I have made a few people here mad also. Well I am telling you I am sorry.

Dear Dan,

I want to preface this by saying I know nothing of the particulars of this situation.

That said.....I offer the following:

Leaders do not abandon their position because they screw up. If you are to repair the trust (if it can be repaired) it has to be done from a position of leadership. Take responsibility for what you created and do your best to fix it.

We all screw up. At some point we hurt people we care about. We make bad decisions, say hurtful things.....and demonstrate our non perfect, HUMAN, qualities in regretful ways. You must allow yourself the courtesy of being imperfect or you will make yourself crazy.

You did not lose your position of Master because you hurt someone.....you are a Master that hurt someone. If the Captain of a ship abandoned his post every time he hit rough water the crew would learn not to trust him. Likewise if the Captain always ran the ship aground, the crew would mutiny.

What I am trying to say is....if you are going to fix this....YOU have to fix it. And it has to be done from your position of authority. We learn to trust and depend on people not because of how they are during good times, but because how they react under stress.
Do they abandon us to fate? Do they crumple and fold? Or do they face the challenges head on?

It may be your situation is unresolveable, in which case you may have to let go. If it comes to that....let go knowing you did all you could do to repair what you had broken.

The hour is early

Ms Sandi

Greetings Ms Sandi,
I thank you for the words of wisedom. Yes we all make mistakes. And I sure have made a biggy. I do like you unaligy. I feel I am tkaing leadership for letting people know I am here to make a mends. And I do pray she takes me back. Sure me, I felt like running BIG time, yet what good does that do. I "" hit the breaks and like said, what a minute. I have hurt some one and my self. It is my job to reapir that and thats why I posted and have been working on letting her know I am sorry. Think you for saying that I "" have not lost my title, yet it felt like it. And yes I feel sh*ty.....And in a ways thats good, meaning I am not cold hearted.
And yes I am trying to fix what I have done and pray I can get her back. I aam sure it will take time. Yet I am going to keep trying. I know we are not prefect. I hope to hear back from the girl.

What title have you lost? Who gave you that title? I would concern myself more with what I did to the other person rather than whether I am still a Master.

Greetings,
I feel as a Master it is part of who I am and my heart. I need and should be true to my heart. And what I did, I was not true to my heart!! And I felt bad. I hope that puts more light onto what I was trying to say. And things well get better and they already have.

IMHO it takes a strong person to apologize rather than just disappear. Welcome back to the boards Dan. I never saw your post that caused the problems as it was deleted before i read it.

There are some very fine, obviously caring, and honest people who post to this group. Before addressing master gold's apology or the sincerity of it, you may want to consider what has transpired previously.

This post in another lounge thread from Moderator 3 was also concerning master gold.

quote:

Now as to the whys. I normally would not post this, however I feel a strong need to protect the users of CM and will explain my actions. And try to outline what has happened.

As everyone knows Master Gold has been asking for advice and telling everyone on this forum that he has been trying to meet someone. The members of this site have been great at offering advice and being sympathetic.

As late as 1129 this morning he posted about still looking. And being hopeful.

Today at 446 he posted that he has someone and has had them. That he was on here trying to find a sub/slave for a "friend" of his who was really disabled and in a wheelchair. And that he had been less than honest with the members here. He offered an apology for his actions. Of course this set me off, I cannot stand lies.. especially in the forums. We all talk about the players and wannabe's on this and other sites. And strive to help others here.

I posted to him, when I hit reply and went back to the forum he had already removed the post. This said many things to me, as I am sure it would others as well. So I asked about the deletion of the post. He instantly started emailing me trying to take it private. Some would say so that he did not have to account for his actions on the board, I may tend to think this way as well.

Since the lie was to the entire community I refuse to go private with it, and I am not taking the original thread down just yet either. I spend a lot of time on this site, working on it to make it better and a great place to be. I try very hard to make sure we keep the forums clean of garbage.

I am not satisfied with the explanation I was given and think if he plans to stay in the forums he owes an apology and needs to be honest with everyone. I call bullshit when I see it. Always have and always will. Either be honest or I call you on it. I pay attention to things and what people say. I catch on to something that is wrong and I will call you on it. That's just the way I am. There are far too many liars as it is. I will not sit by and tolerate good community members being misled. And I do not tolerate backpedaling either.

I am waiting on an explanation.

Also consider master gold's profile....
quote:

About My disability, Cerebral palsy is not progressive, transferrable, nor transmittable. CP effects the motor function part of the brain. Therefore there are times I do not know my own strength.

I have a very low tollerance for lies, so I'll already admit that I may be bothered more by this then others. But with all the time taken to apologise, if truely sincere, why wouldn't the profile be changed?

Forget the obviously self appointed master title, can trust ever be given again? Or is this all some kind of mass misunderstanding?

This is more proof of my theory about Doms who put Master in their name. They usually aren't one.

Estring,
Some people use Dom or sub in their screenname in order to simplify things. This allows the person viewing it to identify which role that the person identifies themselves with. What's wrong with trying to market yourself?

Jill, I don't have a problem with Dom in a name. I have a problem with someone who puts Master in their name. A little presumptuous in my mind. And it seems that almost everyone who does that shows themselves to be anything but a Master, in my experience.

Estring,

Gotta say i totally agree with You here. Men who claim titles such as MasterDimDomLordSirEgoHimself, are rarely if ever anything close to being what they claim. Men who are masters do not have to tell anyone they are, they just are.

I have to agree with Estring on this one. Yet being who I am I also have to interject the other side of the coin.

What if Master X who is very well known in the real world scene for many years just gets a computer. Naturally people know him as Master X...he is going to choose that name online as well. Does that now make him less of a person he was before he joined the online community?

There are certainly those online, and on the boards, who are indeed Masters. The majority of them don't have "Master" in their username or title, but some of them do. For those that use Master in their name and aren't actually Masters of anything other than perhaps the keyboard, I'd guess they chose it because it represents what they wish to project to all the little girls and boys out there possibly looking for the same thing they are.

I have never introduced myself as Master and never intend to. I've also never used it as part of a profile. I never wanted to meet anyone who didn't have the ability to read and what I was/am is clear enough in the narrative.

I've always counseled newbes with this first rule regarding meeting real time......

When someone wants to be called Master before you meet them, they usually aren't. In fact, their insistence about it is inversely proportional to their real experience.
If you really want to throw them for a loop, ask these 'masters' what exactly are they master of? Doubt they are even "master of their domain."

Gloria, those that are given that moniker or are called Master by others is fine. That's why I say most, not all. I have been called Master too. And those men usually show by their behavior that they are deserving of it. But to give that name to yourself? I would never do it.
