Barney Frank takes down a hapless rube trying to do a James O'Keefe style ambush interview...

What is it with these callow young wingnuts, trying to concern troll instead of wearing their bigotry openly?

" our boy lollypop " only has a few more days in the majority. I say leave him alone.

Jeffff -> RE: Barney Frank De-Balls A Wingnut (12/23/2010 7:47:11 PM)

Yes that's it. Don't comment on what the tape shows. Just gives one of your patented nonsense posts.

What a good boy you are.

servantforuse -> RE: Barney Frank De-Balls A Wingnut (12/23/2010 8:08:57 PM)

In about 10 more days, Barney Frank won't be able to screw anything else up. He will be just one more democrat in the minority party.

What the tape shows is a guy asking Frank a question about a part of the policy that apparently troubles some people. Period. I think Frank gave him a good answer, but his insinuations about the guy's motives were uncalled for. Talk about commenting on what the tape shows...

A conservative reporter from right-leaning CNS News thought he would play gotcha journalist and ask gay Congressman Barney Frank about gay and straight soldiers showering together. Big mistake. Huge. Barney totally eviscerates the guy and exposes him as a fool...

That's just a fucking hallucination, replete with imaginary mind-reading abilities. The only thing Frank "exposed" was his inability to handle a question without getting defensive.

Barney was in love with Fanny and Freddie. I think he liked Freddie the best..

Jeffff -> RE: Barney Frank De-Balls A Wingnut (12/23/2010 9:32:33 PM)

K, I agree. I have no love of branny frank or all things democrat. I also have no love of blithering knuckleheads who see only "party" and think it theirs is pure.

I thought Barney Frank's initial mock reaction was funny. And, I think both Frank and the reporter handled themselves professionally. I don't know why people feel the need to treat politics like a sporting event.

Sorry, but if you think that question was innocent and objective then you're delusional. How you approach a subject is very important. The whole showering thing, like he said, it's a non-issue because it already happens.  It's not a by-product of DADT. So why bring it up? Because there are straight people that feel icky about it, and he wanted to try to make Mr. Frank answer for why straight people should have to feel icky. I think that the reporter demonstrated with his line of questioning what side of the debate that he's on, and Barney Frank did nothing wrong by calling him out on that.

Besides, those people who have that concern are.. hm.. what's a good word.. I was going to say "are stupid, so who cares what they think" but that probably wouldn't be very constructive.. so about how.. um.. misguided.  What'll happen? When the gay guys get in the shower will they be like:

"Hey listen, DADT was a political chastity belt.  Now that it's gone, I'm buttfucking you right now biatch!"

They already know there are gays in the shower with him. It just grosses them out that now they'll know who is attracted to them, because as everybody knows, if a guy is gay, then he's automatically attracted to you, straight guy reading this.

People treat it like a sporting event because politicians treat it like a sporting event.  Or rather a game of chess. It's all about keeping power, and not about the country anymore.

"Yeah, gay people might deserve rights in the military, but who cares, until we get our tax cuts for the wealthiest people, gays can go fly a kite!"  Everything has gotten SO petty in the political arena.

Politics are a game of chess, always have been. The problem now is that people like Rush Limbaugh have dumbed  down politics so much that people who don't understand it believe that they do. Conservatives used to have William F Buckley, but I doubt that he could attract an audience today. Now they have Sean Hannity. That's not to say that there are no intelligent conservative commentators. There are, they just can't draw an audience.

And, politicians act the way we allow them to act.

Under DADT? Really? Share this with us, please. How does one spot a gay person?

LadyPact -> RE: Barney Frank De-Balls A Wingnut (12/24/2010 2:06:24 AM)

I thought Barney Frank handled the questions very well.  It absolutely is a non issue and the only thing that's actually changing here is the knowledge about the orientation with DADT going down.  Seriously, it's the same folks that have been showering together all along.  So it's the knowing that's going to strike fear in the heart's of straight men?  Silly concept.

I don't, unh, "know" (heh) that the flak is coming from "straight men" as a class.

Sounds to me more like the Christian Wrong has its hand in this one.

LadyPact -> RE: Barney Frank De-Balls A Wingnut (12/24/2010 2:26:07 AM)

It wouldn't surprise Me, Kirata.  I can't say I was that impressed with the journalist.  He didn't seem to have a great plan for his line of questions.  He couldn't have possibly thought that the concept of segregated showers was something that was going to go over well.

Well any time somebody is making a stink about an issue, some "distinguished member" of the group du jour is the first person who gets interviewed. As for the reporter himself, he got an assignment. He may not have expected it to go over well either!

I think the reporter went to the sarah palin  school of journalism.

OMG here we are on a sexually explicit website that specifically forbids making slurs against someone whose sexual kink is different than yours and you can't seem to be able to restrain yourself from making slurs. What the fuck is your problem?
You constantly show your political bias, which is the purpose of this particular forum, but because you have not the intellectual capacity to argue your point you ignore the tos with your childish prattle about someones sexual orientation.
For fucks sake grow up.

Our boy lollypop?

You really are a class act Servant.

It never ceases to astound me how close-minded some people are on an alternative sex site.

You are here looking for a BDSM relationship, something not readily accepted by the general public, yet you find nothing wrong in making disparaging comments about someone else's sexuality.

CerVeza -> RE: Barney Frank De-Balls A Wingnut (12/24/2010 6:41:14 AM)

Bawny Fwank, the chief author of the mortgage meltdown! Yeah, he's a hero alright. That he got re-elected was bad enough. Now watch the whining to come. Good to see him out of the majority at least. Lefties would rather be upset, sad, and complain anyway. Happy days ahead!

And old baldheaded fat guys would rather engage in gay bashing than actually join in an intellectual discussion.
