servantforuse -> RE: Jesus Was A Liberal Democrat! (12/23/2010 8:39:58 PM)

He did say something like ' give to Rome what is Romes '. He might have been a tax and spend liberal.

Moonhead -> RE: Jesus Was A Liberal Democrat! (12/24/2010 4:22:12 AM)

The man was clearly a Marxist.
(And a druggy, and gay: the Apostles were obviously a gay mushroom cult, like one of the camper street gangs out of The Warriors...)

thompsonx -> RE: Jesus Was A Liberal Democrat! (12/24/2010 5:46:21 AM)

Jesus was a black,gay,hippy jew.

Moonhead -> RE: Jesus Was A Liberal Democrat! (12/24/2010 7:43:59 AM)

subrob1967 -> RE: Jesus Was A Liberal Democrat! (12/24/2010 10:42:29 AM)

hlen5 -> RE: Jesus Was A Liberal Democrat! (12/24/2010 10:50:21 AM)

lickenforyou -> RE: Jesus Was A Liberal Democrat! (12/24/2010 2:50:18 PM)

Pretty versatile for a guy who may or may not have existed.

SL4V3M4YB3 -> RE: Jesus Was A Liberal Democrat! (12/24/2010 2:59:50 PM)

Jesus was the step son of a carpenter that couldn't build a barn.

Additionally most Kings that follow a star would end up somewhere in the north pole, this was before Google maps was invented let us not forget.

hlen5 -> RE: Jesus Was A Liberal Democrat! (12/24/2010 4:14:36 PM)

The story didn't say they were following the North Star!

ETA: And why do you say he couldn't build a barn? Joseph and the VM were only in Bethlehem for a census.

PyrotheClown -> RE: Jesus Was A Liberal Democrat! (12/24/2010 4:20:47 PM)

Jesus would be third party, I figure peace and freedom party,but I could be wrong

Of course he was. The Republicans couldnt find three wise men or a virgin.

Charles6682 -> RE: Jesus Was A Liberal Democrat! (12/24/2010 6:43:47 PM)

Its funny how times do change.At one time,Republican's were the liberal party for freedom and human rights.The Dixiecrats of the south were the KKK biggots.In the last 40 year's,the tables have turned.Now the Repukelicans are the narrow minded racists.The Democrats are the one for progressive change.My,how times do change.

Except I believe it was 10%...a flat taxer.

Elisabella -> RE: Jesus Was A Liberal Democrat! (12/25/2010 5:10:46 PM)

Jesus was liberal. Not a liberal.

Jesus healed the sick. If he were a Democrat, he would have required proof they made less than 50 sesterii a year for his assistance, otherwise he would have simply fined them for not having insurance and gone on his way.

CerVeza -> RE: Jesus Was A Liberal Democrat! (12/25/2010 5:17:36 PM)

Colbert is funny? I never got that. Same with that other guy jon or whatever his name is.

How unsurprising!

Lucylastic -> RE: Jesus Was A Liberal Democrat! (12/26/2010 3:41:26 AM)

In the Popes Christmas message he said that christians should be more like Jesus and help those in need.
Of course, those in need depends on your definition.

Except he wasn't. Jesus was very much the authoritarian with an interest in his subjects' welfare. In my view that would make him a conservative. As far as I'm aware...Jesus's position wasn't open for election...and that means he resides outside of the sphere of liberal democracy.

Someone like Frederick the Great would be his modern day equivalent.
