The Obama Administration stopped working on the disposal site and declared that it wasn't going to happen there.   Then created a new committee to work on the problem of where.

In the mean time, a group sued to have the ability to stop paying until someone made up their mind, considering they had already paid hundreds of millions already and got nothing for it.   Of course the fed said no   you get to pay for nothing.

Another opportunity to raise taxes on the poor since they have to pay for their electricity.

This is from your link....oh those poor rate payers

Residential customers of the two companies pay about $12 a year into the fund to fund the disposal of waste from the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station west of Phoenix

It is a good thing that hugo chavez gives free heating oil to the poor in the u.s. so as to help relieve this dredful situation.

Hey, I've got an idea.

Let's start a petition to have the nuclear waste facility placed in Kingman, Arizona.

How would that sound Ken?

We would solve both problems.

Those poor folks would now be getting value for their $12 a year and you and your fellow Kingman residents could be filled with patriotic pride (and maybe just a little radiation) for the service you are providing to your country.

I hear Japan will lap that shit up, you just have to point the nuclear waste boat in the right direction. Make sure you have your certificates in order i.e. certifying that it is nuclear waste.
