Y'know, T., sometimes you get a wild hair up your ass. Actually, more often than not. Drunk or not, I'm really not sure where you come up with this crap..... Now, now, Lance. You made an early New Year's resolution... wait at least until the 1st to break it. Okay. I'll try again...... T.; I thought "That's odd. I had a MJB or two as a kid in the early 50s. I wonder how 'bad' I was back then." T.; Wiki is your friend..... Playing with/testing the beans ----------------------------- When the bean is abruptly warmed, for instance by being held in the palm of the hand, the larva twitches and spasms, pulling on the threads and causing the characteristic hop. "Jump" is often an exaggeration, but the bean does noticeably move around. The beans should become active if one holds them in the hand (out of the box) for a few minutes. That's from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mexican_jumping_bean Please read the whole article and you'll soon find there's NOTHING "bad" about a MJB. The larva can easily live its full life cycle inside the "true" bean even tho' "played with" by kids. An MJB IS a bean - a bean that's been invaded by the larva of a moth! There is NO "roasting" to produce them..... They are harvested and have to be separated from the "un-invaded" beans to be packaged and shipped to kids for their amusement. Once it was explained to me, I quickly lost interest. ============ Oh, hell.... resolutions are MADE to be broken. LOL! ============ I repeat Y'know, T., sometimes you get a wild hair up your ass. Actually, more often than not. Drunk or not, I'm really not sure where you come up with this crap.....
