He gets to have the standard of beauty (young, buxom and blonde) he fancies on his arm and at his side and for him, maybe that is enough.

In portraying her a gold digger, you are portraying him a victim.
If he is volunteering, he is not a victim.

His want for a pretty young blonde thing is no less noble than her desiring the kind of financial security his wealth will offer her.
If that is all there is between them then both sides are seeking something shallow...and both sides seem as though they will be happily met.

However, when I had that love affair at age 37, it was for love and not money.

Well Greedy I agree. I have always liked older men, and for his age, Hugh looks damn good. None of us are getting any younger and I think Mr. Hefner looks quite dapper. Go Hugh, if you can do it, rock on daddy. .

Hef is no idiot.. he created and has run a publishing empire since teh 50s.  Yes, he has people to help him, but it was HIS brainchild..  and to SOME folks.. the drive and brains behind that are more appealing than his looks!   But yeah.. he's holding up really well, looks-wise.  Not MY type, but objectively, I get it...

Absolutely. It's only insulting to the OP and the men that are laughing at or feeling bad for Hef to think that a man that is a multi millionare and the creator of an empire like Playboy is to be pitied. I smell jealousy.

You know the notion of marriages based on love is a fairly recent one, it was usually a dynastic approach or an economic one. I'm pretty sure none of them is getting into it like a baby in the woods, if both are getting out of it what they want, where is the problem and why do people feel the need to tell others how they should live their lives? Hef and his new bride seem to be consenting adults.
