A quiet room, during a good enjoyable session, simply bugs me. And some of the good memories I have of sessions, come back, when I hear the song again. So, I am curious, what sort of music, you might use, during a session of good D/s or SM fun with someone you know well?

During the scene, the only music I want to hear is my partner's moans/gasps/screams.

If I listen to music, it's during pre-play prep time.  In that case, I usually listen to gothic, industrial, techno, and/or hard rock, depending on the type of scene.  If it's going to involve lots of impact play, then a hard, driving beat (Drowning Pool, Skinny Puppy, Three Days Grace) is what I want.  If it's going to be more sensual/evil/sexy, then something like Sisters of Mercy, Siouxsie and the Banshees, or Evanescence is better.  If it's going to be light and playful, then I'll pick Prodigy or Lords of Acid.

Two songs stick out in my mind: Puscifer's "The Mission" and A Perfect Circle's "Counting Bodies Like Sheep..." (yeah I know, I've got a little man-crush on Keenan)

Most of the time during play I'm so far gone that I can't really pay attention to the music.  I like it being there but I can't really focus on it directly.  But these two songs stick out in my mind because they came on at the peak of two really intense play sessions.  I can't adequately describe what happened but all I know is that I now equate these two songs with exceptional pain and beautifully intense emotions.

Check out Music by Enigma. It's very good for scenes and helping subs into a trance too.
All Good ;)
