tazzygirl -> Alvin Greene, Part 2 (12/27/2010 3:06:31 PM)

AP) COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Alvin Greene, the unemployed Army veteran who suggested during his failed U.S. Senate bid that making action figures of himself would help create jobs, is running for office again.

Greene paid the $165 filing fee on Christmas Eve to run in a special election for a South Carolina House seat made vacant by the death this month of Rep. Cathy Harvin.

Cal Land, the chairman of the Clarendon County Democratic Party, said Greene entered the race five minutes after the filing period opened. A primary will be held Feb. 15 with the special election set for April 5.

Greene said Monday he would wait to see who else filed before commenting on the race. He was handily defeated in November by incumbent U.S. Sen. Jim DeMint.

A special election for a seat in the state legislature's lower chamber? If this is a sequel, it's the kind where they shoot on videotape, and hope they can get one of the cable channels to pick it up.

This guy makes Sara Palin look brilliant.   I wonder if she's paying him to continue to make a public ass of himself. [:@]   M

What's the issue?  He's good for comic relief, and since there's no chance he'll get elected, he's harmless.

servantforuse -> RE: Alvin Greene, Part 2 (12/29/2010 3:21:04 PM)

It will be fun to see just how many like minded democrats vote for him.

SexyBossyBBW -> RE: Alvin Greene, Part 2 (12/29/2010 3:26:11 PM)

True, but you don't want a bafoon on your side of the isle for comparison with the other side, do you? lol    M

In SC, the only place the Dems will count is in the primary.  It's too red a state for a Dem to take the general election.

He won one primary before anyone knew who he was.  Won't happen again.

Elisabella -> RE: Alvin Greene, Part 2 (12/29/2010 5:07:33 PM)

He got 28% of the vote in the Senate race.

28% of people in South Carolina would rather elect a retard than a Republican. While I expect the obligatory "lulz republicunts are dum" posts, does anyone else find this disturbing?

Lucylastic -> RE: Alvin Greene, Part 2 (12/29/2010 5:12:44 PM)

Is there a medical diagnosis of retardation?
Voting for anyone other than a republican... of course there are many many people who do so.

pahunkboy -> RE: Alvin Greene, Part 2 (12/29/2010 5:30:39 PM)

I never heard of him.

Elisabella -> RE: Alvin Greene, Part 2 (12/29/2010 5:36:02 PM)

No diagnosis I'm aware of...I thought doctors and professionals stopped using the word "retard" to describe people with mental disabilities decades ago?

People who vote for "anyone but a ______" would deserve what they get if they weren't affecting others with their idiocy as well. And no, that's not a clinical diagnosis of "idiot" either.

Yup.  You are correct.

Nope, O'donnell

Hehehehe When it comes to elected morons in our federal government, Hank Johnson (D) GA4 is still the pick of the current litter. Find the video of his concerns that the island of Guam was going to capsize under the weight of additional Marines.

He was just re-elected, with 75% of the vote.

Hell, he makes Obama seem brilliant.
I'll grant you, that Obama/Biden have not been as fantastic at leading as I thought they might be, since being elected.   It's as if Obama took away Joe Biden's courage to speak fearlessly, and set off to prove himself lovable to the people who wouldn't have him as a friend.

However, if you think Obama and Palin are similar in terms of academic and verbal dexterity bonafides, what can I possibly tell you?   I don't want to try and confuse you with the facts, when your mind is already made up.    M
