I've just checked out my dates here and it has actually been almost a year since I left collar. There was a one-night stand which decided this. I travelled into London. I scened with a man I was on IM with for a few nights. That was it. That was all there was. The rest was my assumptions...
his profile said switch and I was expecting to elicit his dominant side. As it turned out he became deeply submissive. I didn't so much switch as dovetail those two extreme aspects of myself.
I felt dirty, shallow and unhappy leaving and getting the tube and finally getting home to sanity and my mundane life.
But I FINALLY had broken through to the other side of the kneel.
So many realisations fell into place. Standing over his stockinged face and tied helplessness gave me a sense of freedom and pride and the worth of the pleasure my assertiveness had given him. I foregave myself the one night stand.
It also gave me a sense of the responsibility that domination entails. But that's another story.
That was a powerful one night stand and I have no regrets.
