Er, if it demonstrably cuts down on the number of total contacts, including a higher percentage of the undesirables with "hot babe" filters, how can it not be an effective filter? Obviously the most effective filter if you want no personal contacts at all is to turn your profile off or hide it, but if you don't mind hearing from select folks who actually have something to say as opposed to random HNG's who solicit strangers for kinky sex, setting your age to 99 and your weight to 900 lbs does tend to work a treat.

The number of dommes who set their age to 99 and also state that they are looking proves mainly that what these dommes are looking for is someone who actually reads profiles and who does not set their search parameters based on age.
