ORIGINAL: sunshinemiss Before this thread I never realized how clueless men are. All those times I worried about being too forward... Silly me. Sunny, men have a yardstick for determining a woman's interest: if she climbs into your lap and gyrates vigorously, and you're not in a strip club, she's interested. Anything less obvious than that, you can't be sure. Yes, it's hard to be sure why someone is flirting with you (or suddenly becomes incredibly shy about doing so). It's much clearer if they do something that puts them at risk for rejection like asking you out. I'm just thankful some women are both aggressive and persistent. I agree ... it's hard to know what motivaties one to flirt..... Hell.... I flirt all the time and it doesn't always mean that I want to bang them... ok maybe it does cause I am slut.... but it's still not an absolute. I don't like games... women that I want to involve myself with... I tell them... or just make the move they either reject or submit. Ironically... I tend not find women flirting with me (that I am not involved with) to be not a turn on... I find it fun but not arousing... it is not something that will motivate me to make a move.... For me to make a move would denote that I was manipulated... and I don't like feeling manipulated. However... if a women does intiate a flirt and I respond with flirting... If she makes a move... I don't see it as manipulative.... just sexually aggressive and the flirting was foreplay....
