And it is temporary as is gestational diabetes. It is because the fetus is sucking all the minerals it needs to form and grow, and nature gives the fetus priority. How else could diabetes just go away ? The Mother's body eventually replenishes it's store of usable chromium and vanadium. Luckily the condition did not persist long enough in most cases to cause permanent damage to the pancreas.

Think about it, and when it comes to things like this, don't ask a doctor, ask a vet.
