Status: offline 		Yeah, I'm with Lucy....my give a damn is broken.

I have approximately $15 till payday in two weeks.......him losing a mil on a house just really isn't important in the scheme of things.  Besides, he'll just write it off on his taxes, and we'll get stuck picking up the tab somehow.

Status: offline 		Actually he shouldn't write it off, it can offset future capital gains tax. A few minor changes in the laws and he can make a bundle, and possibly get bailed out even.

Status: offline 		The real estate market should recover in a couple of years. He would have done better to rent it out, doing that provides income and gives big tax write-offs.

Status: offline 		Awww... poor multi-millionaire :( I wish we could afford a house that we could lose a cool mil on and not even flinch on a military paycheck. But I guess if you want the big bucks you gotta work for the government.. oh wait, let me rephrase that.. you have to work for the government in a job that doesn't jeopardize your life and leave your family without you for years at a time.
