At your age what you really need is to get on with the usual activities of a normal 18 year old male until you have some life experience.

Welcome to CM and the boards. Help will come by reading the old and newer forums, a list of non-fiction books, not the porn ones, getting yourself out to munches and events in your area and making friends that way. As Steven said, TNG events are the perfect place for you since you're 18.

Don't expect anyone here to do the research for you or to introduce you, a perfect stranger to their friends. The friendship part on this site will come from you participating in the various threads, being polite and minding your manners. The search button just above the flags in the upper right hand corner can also help with any subject you may be looking to learn more about, or start a thread of your own if you can't find the info you're looking for. Do not go the route of the whiner as this has been covered entirely too much in the neare and distant past.
