hello is there anybody that can explain what formal D/s formatting is, when writting to a mistrees. any help would be great thanks!!

Maybe the slashy speak, with Her name and pronoun capitalized, and you always in lower case? Before you do that, note that a lot of Dommes here prefer that you not use that convention. Follow what she uses in her profile.

Then write to her with a normal amount of respect, like you would when emailing your boss. Ask her something about a topic on hecr profile or an interest she lists. Dont mention everything you like or are good at, remember it's not all about YOU.

O_o there exists such a thing????????? Don't worry, if you screw up and she gets neurotic, she wasn't a good one! Good ones have an effect on you... not the other way around. Plus, do not take this seriously, you're a sub and you can be told what to do. It is when you've already been told what to do when you can't screw up. Haha! I support the Capital Dominant and lowercase submissive reply. Feel comfortable while writing! Good luck!

I find slashy speak annoying to read, which is why in my profile I state that until there's been a power exchange dynamic established, I expect a dialogue between two equal people. I even ask to be called by my first name, and not some honorific. Amazing how many people don't follow that preference. <sigh> Say hi and be respectful. Pick out something unique in her profile that drew you. If it's just her picture, give her a compliment, but then ask her an open-ended question. If this is a first letter, she'll read your profile, consider your first contact and decide if she's interested. If you don't get a reply, keep looking. Good luck,

Not sure if this is where I post this as in whether I should start a new thread- Theraptor- good grammar is huge with me also. When I am emailing another submissive/slave and they refer to their Master. If I write back is it improper to write Master in all lowercase? I have always went with the uppercase "M' as I didn't want to offend anyone, so this is just curiosity. And OP I have to agree with everyone here, use respect and proper grammar to start with, in more communication with her the rest should fall into place.

My suggestion would be to respectfully ask her if she would prefer to use the D/s formatting in correspondence with her.

I'm well aware of how you roll and have no problem with such. Most of the lasses in my generation though (the Jurassic) are not quite the same.
