I am truly smiling today ... and am a happy man!
Most of you do not know ... but personally ... 2010 was a year of extremes for me.
From my Mother falling and breaking her hip, my unemployment, taking classes at a local college to get updated on the latest technologies to eventually finding a job in the devastated Detroit job market; finally the Doctor told me ... my Mother survived 1 in 5 chances! [:)]
Yes, huge ups and downs!
But in my darkest hours ... one Lady, who used to be here frequently ... was a Huge Positive Influence in my life! She encouraged, challenged and motivated me ... even if she was not aware she was doing so! [:)]
Yesterday, January 1, we talked on the phone. Our first communication in several months.
She is alive, well and as successful as ever .. and I guess I can now say, I am too! [:)]
So hearing Her voice ... was THE perfect Capstone to my 2010 ....
It was like sipping a glass of Veuve Clicquot on New Years Day ... I savored every moment!
And should You see this, my Lady, You know who You are! [:)] And that I will always fondly remember You! [:)] [:)] [:)]
