CherryNeko -> RE: Should chocolate be legal? (1/4/2011 9:37:43 AM)

What? Chocolate being legal prevents me from going to jail, alright?

Hillwilliam -> RE: Should chocolate be legal? (1/4/2011 11:26:55 AM)

When chocolate is outlawed, only outlaws will have chocolate.

Aylee -> RE: Should chocolate be legal? (1/4/2011 1:23:44 PM)

Yes and I think that companies should also be able to use the term, "White Chocolate" as opposed to "Almond Bark" here in the US.

I grew up next to a Hebert Candies and they always carried "white chocolate".

White chocolate Genevas

I think your information may be wrong: "Almond Bark" is not the same thing.

It is true that "white chocolate" isn't really chocolate because it does not contain chocolate liquor. It is supposed to contain cocoa butter but the inferior ones may contain vegetable fat or even parafin. If it is white and not ivory it is probably inferior. Almond Bark is one of those preparations. It is an artificial chocolate preparation that has a vegetable fat base.

Chocolate has no significant redeeming nutritional value.

Chocolate stimulates pleasure centers in the brain like an addictive drug.

Chocolate contains alot of sugar, which is detrimental to health, and could be deadly to some.

Where do I sign the petition to ban this evil substance. Y'know black marketers need to eat, anda feed the little bambinos. There are so few new opportunities in this field, sometimes weapons, drugs and hits just don't pay the graft, errr bills. Lightbulbs are simply not enough to fuel expansion, leading to the stagnation of one of our top enterprises.

I wanna know when it was outlawed, thus making us want it to be legal again.

I'm with LaT....don't mess with my chocolate!

I just bought a batch of dark today.   Yay!

Chocolate should only be legal for private use within the home, or driving to and from chocolate shows.

Actually that seems not to be true.
Chocolate, especially dark chocolate is rich in flavanoids which act as antioxidants.

It can both lower blood pressure and cholesterol.

Dark chocolate does not contain that much sugar.
Look at the label of a good quality dark chocolate, one serving will have around 11-15 grams of carbs... then look at the fiber. A decent bar will have around 4 grams per serving. Subtract that and you will have between 11 and 7 grams of sugar per serving. Some dark chocolates may have even less.

pahunkboy -> RE: Should chocolate be legal? (1/4/2011 6:21:11 PM)

Dark chocolate makes me feel younger.

gungadin09 -> RE: Should chocolate be legal? (1/4/2011 6:22:32 PM)

Chocolate should be legal, but the government should require a permit to buy chocolate.

There should be strict standards for who can buy chocolate. In the absence of anybody who meets these standards, all chocolate should be sent to ME, for safekeeping.

I could be wrong but I thought that it was not legally chocolate because it did not contain cocoa solids.  Even though it is marketed as "white chocolate."

But I was really just trying to make a joke in the thread.
