"according to an estimate by the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office"

Ever heard of GIGO?

This bill was carefully miscrafted to force the CBO to give it a deficit-reducing score. The assumptions the CBO was forced by law to use in scoring the bill were so blatantly unrealistic the CBO took the highly unusual step of discrediting its own result.

Promoting the CBO score as meaningful, as an honest "best guess" as to the actual cost of the bill, is at best uninformed; and at worst deliberately dishonest.

You are not particularly uninformed.

Treasure and I quoted chapter and verse on how little the CBO believed their numbers. As always, if it doesnt suit their narrative they just ignore it.

Dont bother.

Yeah. That's probably the best option, all the way around. [:D]

Have a great night, and perhaps we'll find a better piece of ground to share elsewhere.

And won't it be hilarious if they should succeed in changing the filibuster rules in the Senate, before 23 Dem. Senators come up for re-election in the very next cycle?

News Item:

Soon after being sworn in, Michael Grimm of NY-13 (Staten Island) gave his first interview. According to National Journal, Grimm says he's getting on the House health plan--even though he campaigned on repealing the health care reform bill.

"What am I, not supposed to have health care?" Grimm told the New York Daily News (the article hasn't appeared online, only in print). "It's practicality. I'm not going to become a burden for the state because I don't have health care and, God forbid I get into an accident and I can't afford the operation...That can happen to anyone."

Yeah. God forbid.

The CBO estimated that the Health Care Reform will save something like 140 Billion over 10 years.

So repealing it will actually increase the debt.

But at least sick people will be kicked off their insurance policies, so there's that benefit.

its still hiway robbery and its exactly what I said when they first came out with it, that they need it to reduce the debt.

Sounds like you understand banking and taxation.
